I love the way they re-made the Christmas past dream sequence with Al Murray for this release!
I watched this 20 years ago when I was 21 and it was out on sky 1 on a Thursday how is this different to original and how do you know it’s a new sequence?? After this come to an end it was still a few years until he blew up into the house hold name he is the 2 series finished end of 2001 very early 2002!!!!!
@chriswallis1534 I had the original recordings uploaded here on a different channel, they all got pruned in 2019 but I don't have the rips any more.
@chriswallis1534 in the original it's not Al Murray playing the child version of himself, it's actual kids, but the teenage version I think was someone who got some actual roles after the show.
Terry is one of the top ten British sitcom characters ever created.
I sincerely hope Alan Partridge is in there, never mind the Guv himself☺
He also played the lead role as Jimmy in Quadrophenia, Classic 👍

Still took a few years for him to become one of top comedians he is today this came to an end in 2002 but he wasn’t top billing until at least 2005/2007 can’t be sure exactly but no he wasn’t thrust into limelight once this came to an end because I loved it and was gutted he wasn’t about no more until he started popping up doing his stand up which a lot was straight from this show!!! That my nerdvana knowledge lol 😂

Hey, the dream sequence is different from the DVD version of this episode.
Yeah, the one I remember didn't use Al dressed up in the sequence.
Lots of the scenes seem slightly different tbh, same lines but delivered differently. Really odd...

If anyone has seen the original version guv is substituted for a different young actor in the flashback scenes, this one is way better

What happened to the flashback scenes? Al Murray didn't play himself as a kid in the original.
Never even noticed, its much funnier with Al anyway. Either one of them was a nonce and thus needs erased from history, or they threatened to sue, most likely the one putting on makeup..... also not a good thing in this day and age ....
