This ain’t theory it’s just uncreative
same here
@@lukenester2319 its helpful for people who straight up do not know what the fuck they are doing
The fact the melody sounds recognizable for dark trap 😂
Thats almost how i do all my melody. I even use Scaler to get a random chord progression. And sometimes i use tools like arpeggiator , randomize , riff etc .
That's ok but you will be limited if you only use the exact notes. Don't be afraid to use others notes if they sound good for you.
Guys stop using those ghost notes for your scales. Just use the helpers scale highlighting in FL Studio 🤔
Some do it to follow they chord progression and some so it can be easier to see the helpers I think good if u write music without only depending con chord progression and another advantage of the helpers u won't have to delete the scale and it don't get in the way so I think overall scale highlighting better also
Even better, ignore the scale highlighting because you have (hopefully) already done ear training
Or people can do what works for them 🤷♂️
Using the ghost notes is literally way easier, why would you tell someone to stop using it lol
ghost notes are way easier to see for someone with impaired vision, like me
This might actually help me. Thanks for a tip😊
This is DOPE as hell...... D Minor scale makes for some of the best bouncy and dark type melodies!!
I know its old but make your melody 3 or 5 semitones higher and then pitch it down 😇
appreciate these videos honestly, i enjoy seeing people’s creative processes
please use scale degrees so the new guys can actually learn about what they're doing
2 Bars. Crazy melody mate!
It would be more useful for beginners if you spoke in scale degrees. The top note in the example would be the 3rd scale degree not the first note.
Wouldn’t it be the 5th interval from the root?
-Unfortunately music terminology is weird. The third note in a minor or major scale is 4 or 3 semitones above the root-
Meant to respond to other comment
@@xenontesla122 I have played the piano almost my whole life and we talk in scale degrees.
@@Beatstockpile127 Shoot, I meant to respond to the other comment to bridge the ideas of scale degrees and semitones. Scale degrees are definitely useful.
@@user-vz3uf8us7f Music terminology can sometimes be weird. The third note in a minor or major scale is 4 or 3 semitones above the root, and the fifth note is 7 semitones above the root.
More please!
goat bro
thank you

Bro could u tell me other bells sound like in memorium but from other vst??
Is it safe to say that the closer the notes are, the bigger the tension and the farther apart, the more floaty it is? If not, how should we see it?
I usually say if they are right next to each other they make tension. If they have a one note gap it’s emotional. If it’s more than that it sounds more anthemic
@@andygotthebass6525I get what your saying but what exactly do you mean by anthemic ?
Each interval has its own variaty of purposes. You use them in the way that they make you feel, and that is what makes each artist unique.
It is wild to me that people think about the feeling a sound invokes based on its position in FL studio, I totally get it, but as an analog-head I can only think about notes and the dissonance and resolution between them in terms of sheet music
Each interval has its tension. You can just hear it. It's not linear.
Idk that sounds happy as hell u can’t pull a drill to that melody 😂 ur gonna survive
If I’m using BandLab what would you recommend to use to make it ?
