- I like to recycle wood from my jobs at work, these bits of wood were actually from an old stair case I had to take out and replace, so instead of it going to waste, I decided to recycle them instead and turn them into a beautiful home for the birds in my garden.
Dimensions for the build:
Bird house 300mm x 300mm
Log Timbers 22mm x 22mm
Roof angles were all 45 degree
Roof tiles were 30mm long
Bird House base is screwed from underneath for easy access

Nice job thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you, much appreciated 😊
What wood do you use and where do you get it from? We live in WAState, lots of rain, Cedar is the only type that will survive in the elements.
It’s mostly a mixture of cedar, ash, pine and oak, I varnish everything once a year with a water base coating, lasting really well with the weather we have here in England which is terrible at times as well 😅
The wood usually comes from what ever I can find for free, mostly what people have thrown away in there skips, which are take apart and recycle into something new 😊
Hi. Could You tell what glue are You using in this video?
Yes of course, one is gorilla wood glue and the other is called mitre fix glue (it is a 2 part glue, contains adhesive and a activator, No need for clamping as it sets in seconds. Hope this helps
