    This is the future of agriculture not just in nigeria but worldwide.
    I have heard before about natural banana having seeds
    About 2 or 3 years ago,I bought two pineapples. The woman that sold them to me told she just got back from her village and had harvested those pineapples from her compound.
    They were not so big, but she gave me a guarantee that she will refund me if they aren't sweet.
    So when I cut one open, I noticed it had seeds. But I was very sweet.
    I got worried and concluded that she had sold bad pineapples to me.
    I threw them away.
    So somedays later I spoke my.mum about it.
    She screamed and asked me if I could find the seller again. It was then I heard that natural fruits like pineapples and banana have seeds.
    But I don't think I'd like to eat seeded banana though

    He described GMO as hybrid when he said ‘a seed that is built to be resistant to that thing’ Hybrid is a cross between two natural seeds or livestock but GMO isn’t a cross but a modification of the genetic of the seed. In Western countries, you no longer have to label fruits and vegetables as genetically modified. You only label organic to distinguish it from non organic.
    I’m proud of this guy though. He’s making a mark.😊

    • @adon8672
      @adon8672 Před 4 měsíci

      @onomeonota23 Před 4 měsíci +4

      @@adon8672 it’s not the same thing. If it were, he wouldn’t have categorised them differently. What’s the logic in that? GMO is made in the lab, hybrid is purely a cross between two existing crops or animals.

    • @onomeonota23
      @onomeonota23 Před 4 měsíci +6

      @@emmylast6818 your comment is completely off. Hybrid is defined as an offspring of 2 species, subspecies, breeds… GMOs are animals or plants whose DNA has been altered using engineering techniques. I hope you can see the difference. God bless you!

      @newolde1 Před 3 měsíci

      @@onomeonota23pure semantics, crossbreeding is genetically modifying a plant. We've been doing this for thousands of years with both plants and animals. Sure, when it's done in a lab you can cross more genetics. But at the end of the day..

      While you are abroad , try to make repeated visits to your home and get to understand the dynamics at play. So you can better adjust. If you jump in "gbum gbam " you may be disappointed. Also start by making small micro investments and or projects. E.g . You could do a small banana plantation and work on processing the stock for fibre or the fruit for flour. That's not micro o, hehehe . Anyways start small bits of projects . And grow.

      @itguru2943. Oga please stop that crap, we don't have to have good leaders for Nigeria to be the envy of the world. We only need more people that think and operate like this farmer Samson, if he was waiting for what government will do for him, like many youth of today are doing, he won't be where he is now. Most youth today no longer believe in dignity of labour or hard work (which should not actually be hard in the real sense of the word but application of smartness, intelligence and passion), rather many of them are covetous not seeking after community good but only selfish ambition of acquiring material things. Just start some where he said. Stop waiting for government because government will always be who they are, promising heaven on earth which they never fulfil. The only things we need from government are basic infrastructures such as good roads, portable water and the maintenance of these infrastructures. Other things like power supply, agriculture, education, healthcare, housing etc. showed be handled by private individuals and corporations with government putting concrete laws and enforcement in place to protect people's safety and wellbeing. I'm surprised you watched this video and you still left this comment.

    This is very good. Good to see a Nigerian taking the bull by the horn and not sitting around to complain about the economy. Food production business never fails if done well.
