Wow this video is superb.. anyway guys if anyone wants to hug for a hug. Hopefully this msg is not going to be deleted. Please visit me and my family. I hope you'll enjoy my random video. Don't watch the first video coz i just upload that one for awareness. Anyway msg me guys. Ty
it's weird to see you guys eat without rice. almost all filipino dishes are seasoned with the idea that you'll eat it alongside rice (which tends to water down the seasoning), so if you eat the dish on its own, it might be too salty/sour/sweet. I guess the resto you went to took that into consideration. being a fusion place and all that.
Omg I didn’t get a notification for this video. 😳 ugh ! I’m glad to have caught it. I’ve never tried Filipino food, I really want to try lumpia and chicken adobo tough. I’ll keep the duck embryo to those who are courageous to try it though. 😭🤣
I had been to Kusina Pinoy Bistro a couple of times and could honestly say that the food is great , service and ambience of the place is also amazing. This is one of a kind in the Woodside area . This is the kind of place where you can bring friends and celebrate goodtimes. HIGHLY recommended.
The Pareng ni mang juan chicharon is addicting man! I love that stuff! That sizzling platter looked legit. Really interested to see the Fil-Am life in NY. Such a different setting than So. cal!
the reason why veggies are separated in the kare kare when served in restaurants is that most people do not like overcooked veggies... BTW kare-kare has different kinds... my favorite is kare-kareng OXTAIL or the kare-kareng SEAFOOD... enjoy the feast... thanks for featuring Pinoy foods and places...
Yeahh we love Filipino food...we went there quite a few times...^^ and wow Queens is an area of all countries...haha we can find everything there! Love it ^^
Hey Jon, I'm going to be in NYC in december, staying up in northern Manhattan, it would be awesome to come see you while I'm there! Your videos of first time to NYC and all. Have really helped me plan my trip! I hope you get back to me, and maybe find one day out of the week I'll be there to hang out!
Great job Jon, those dishes made me hungry so I bought me some kare-kare and sisig for dinner, lol. Hey, I told Jay that we should take you and Adrianna to the Philippines sometime and we'll show you the real deal. Keep up the good work.
Kare kare "meat" is traditionally oxtail. If it's hard to come by, restaurants use beef or more recently some restaurants have innovated using bagnet/deep fried pork belly with it. Always eat it with shrimp paste. Always. The sauce is originally a paste of ground peanuts and rice colored with annatto seeds (hence the orange hue), but because this is time consuming to do, Filipinos take shortcuts by using peanut butter.
kare-kare is tastier if you put saute'd Shrimp paste and Rice Sisig is good with Red Horse (Filipino Beer) Dinuguan (Porks Blood) with Puto (Rice cake)
If ever you will visit Manila Philippines (again) ..pls try Locavore in Pasig or BGC Crisostomo Vertis North Edsa or BGC theyre bit pricey but they are one of the best 💖
Hi Cabalen Ben.Inalben ke ing video balaku akalingwan me ing sisig ng aling lucing.Dakal Manyaman talagang pamangan pinas.i live in italy.Good Luck.God Bless.
New York is the best city, food capital of the world. There is no other city that comes close to having most food from the world....and cultures, neighborhood takes you back home but only in a short subway ride.
Here Be Barr Hey! Check out the video from today with Glen. Sunday going to Korean King’s spa Jersey city at Palisades Park you should make a video one day great spot.
Wow all is yummy food love it😍😍😍.kare-kare and sisig i know how to make that.my employer like it...the San meg light beer i drink 1 bottle im done lah😂😂😂
Man...I live a few blocks from these places you recommend. Will definitely give them a try..especially Kusina Pinoy Bistro..food looks yummy..😋🤤..are the prices affordable or expensive for the dishes?.
i thought it was reasonable.. 13-15$ for the big dishes, be nice to share some. Check their menu before going , but the Sisig is unreal. One of the top 10 things I've ever had in Queens.
@@HereBeBarr thx bud...will definitely return the good thought. ✌..will try what you recommend and will share absolutely...😋🤤. Keep On Shinin' brother...and Bon Appetit!..
I just dropped off a package at Johnny Air Cargo at 241 Avenue A in Manhattan. I am not plugging them, but you don't have to go to Woodside, Queens to drop off a package. 😐😐😐😐😐
I'd laugh at this guy for his Rutgers shirt (I'd be wearing my Penn State hoodie for spite - tell me again why Rutgers is in the Big Ten?) but he makes some fabulous video... EDIT: A&W Root Beer???

Mate you really are not saying "Balut" correctly.
PLEASE pronounce it, "Bah-LOOT" because ... well, that IS how the word is pronounced.

Whatever happened to "That Guy You Met Today"s CZcams channel? It's been almost a year since his last upload. Hope he's ok.
that filipino dude is awesome
It's weird not to see any rice.
Rice balances everything, especially because what you're eating can be really salty at times.
i saw rice at 13:36, but wouldn't be enough balance with that much incredible filipino dishes...
RIP Ben
What a great energy he had! Beautiful smile, beautiful voice

When you do the cheers with Filipino beers, you should all say "Tagay hanggang mamatay."
You have to actually mix the egg with the whole sisig..
