      Thanks. It's all very well to buy based on what the specs say but testing out what that means in practice is so much better... especially when the results are good.

    Tape both sides of the sensors to get the subject in the middle of the frame.

      I guess the Spypoint engineering behind trigger speed achieves the same thing!

    Are the antennas interchangeable between the Flex & LM2? Got a bad Flex antenna.

      Yes they are.
      (Just not backwards compatible with older models: One's male / the other's female 😉)

    I bought 2 Flex cams and neither would activate and SPYPOINT was impossible to get ahold of. I returned both

    Flex 36 works pretty good, but can't talk to a person with questions on set up details. On line chat stuff is useless for one on one questions. By the way the field view is 49 degrees, it is not in the manual spec's, but found somewhere on line. Sometimes I only get the back leg of the critter as it walks by, but don't know why and know one to ask. The manual babbles about the chat line, but it is not much help when they finally do respond. To much techy not enough common sense.

      In the Spypoint App change Image Sensitivity in Settings to a more sensitive setting.
      There's some guidance on the app in our video here: czcams.com/video/LvKJo7VF4tQ/video.htmlsi=VIA74kWi9X9BUOVy
      Also think about where you've positioned your camera. If you're too close and perpendicular to an animal track it'll be a tougher challenge for any trail camera. If you've the option; try different distances and angles, you might have more luck (just remember to avoid facing it into the rising, or setting sun....as the intense light/shadow through trees can give false triggers). Good luck

    the review of these products DOES NOT specify whether the red LEDs are visible at night, whether activation noise is heard, how long the batteries last on average... whether the online signal is transmitted immediately to the mobile phone

    • @thomasjacksltd
      @thomasjacksltd  Před 2 měsíci

      - All LED's are visible to animals. Anything referred to as low light, invisible, or black light are certainly more discrete, so less likely to be noticed but they are not 'invisible'. The downside is they have less reach.
      - The cameras do operate silently.
      - You can specify the frequency of photo transmission.
      - BUT that transmission is an energy intensive activity and will influence battery life. As will many of the other settings you specify on the app; like how sensitive you want the camera to be, how many pictures you want in a burst, or if you want video, as well as the image resolution. Because of the level of control offered by Spypoint cameras it's impossible to indicate battery life. But I would recommend getting the Spypoint rechargeable battery (and/or one of the solar options)
