  • I shot this video in the tomb of Hafez in the city of Shiraz in Iran. In this video, I talk about the fact that Hafez is not as famous in the West as some other Persian poets like Omar Khayyam and Rumi, while in Iran, he is usually most people’s favourite poet. I also talk about some Western famous people who liked Hafez, like Goethe, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Queen Victoria, and how you can consult Hafez if you feel stuck to get inspiration for your journey in life. Finally, I end the video by talking about the 4 levels of artists:
    1. The Narrating Artist: This is the artist that copies or narrates what they observe in nature.
    2. The Creative Artist: This artist gets their inspiration from what they see in the natural world but creates something that doesn’t exist in the natural world.
    3. The Imaginative Artist: This type of artist adds a layer of emotional turbulence in their creation.
    4. The Transcendental Artist: These are artists that tell us the story of the ultimate reality and the truth that underlies the natural world.
There are very few transcendental artists in history and their work reminds us of things that perhaps we might have seen in a previous life or glimpses of what we may see in the next life. Examples of transcendental artists are Michelangelo, Shakespeare, and Hafez, and their work will still feel relevant after hundreds or even thousands of years and can help you even in the modern world of today and will inspire you when you feel stuck.
Please let me know in the comments who you get your inspiration from. Who is your favourite transcendental artist?
