Another great vid, love to see the wolverine make an appearance. I would have tried bag him too.
This was such a cool video. Raw, honest, and special. Thanks for sharing it!
Thanks I’m glad you enjoyed it
THREE THUMBS UP!
Thanks!!
Great times. I’m sure you both will hunt many more times. Just over the years the hikes will be shorter and the hunts on the easier side. I hunted with my dad this year and he’s 84.
I can only hope to hunt with my dad that long
Awesome video man, loved the story line and the memories shared. 🤙🏻
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Thanks for sharing. What a great Ram. I love the bantering going on as well. Reminds me of my father and I. Like you I’ve been on his heels for 30 years. Now he brings up the rear. So blessed to have been raised right. Cheers
I appreciate it! Thanks.

Awesome adventure with your dad. Nice ram. My dad is 73 and I still hunt with him. I’ll video the next hunt we do together.
It’s pretty special to get to spend time in the woods with your old man.
Hey…60 ain’t old!! LOL! Congratulation on a great hunt.
For do it yourself sheep hunting it is! haha
Cool video. Congrats on the fine Dall's ram.
Thanks! I appreciate it
Whoa! Nice ram. Great video!
Thanks!!
Congrats on the nice sheep!
Hey thanks!!
Nice
Awesome hunt and video. I’m envious that you were able to do this with your father. I would have loved a hunt such as this with my Dad. And not seeing the kill shot…this is how hunting videos were five decades ago, and I wish more, really all videos didn’t show the kill shots, as the videos will eventually contribute to the end of legal hunting. Really well done.
I apricate the kind comment. Not getting the kill shot was actually not intentional. However I am a strong advocate for ethical hunting and for very conservative, ethical social media posting. You'll never see any poor ethics from my channel.
@@ThomasLees I am a fan.
awesome u guys
Hey thanks!
Awesome sheep would live to see the collection you and your dad have if that’s not the biggest!
Subscribe to the channel! I’m thinking about doing a trophy room tour
@@ThomasLees I did way ahead of you. I’m same age as your dad never been dall sheep hunting as I’m from the prairies of Saskatchewan and a sheep hunt for us is 35,000 usa which is like 50,000 Canadian. I could afford that if I so choose but when I was younger and more agile I couldn’t. Maybe next lifetime….
I am committed to a Rocky Mt elk hunt in Sept 2024 in the Absaroka Range/Wyoming. Needed to accumulate 6 preference points as as non-resident to be successful in the draw lottery. I have previous experience in the area with elevations in the 7500- 9000 ft range so I know what I'm headed for...I will be 80 in July...just a matter of one foot ahead of the other.
I wish you good luck, and I sure hope I can still do it like you can when I’m 80
That’s awesome!
I took my first sheep finally this year - An Alaska Range Ram.
What were his bases?
Awesome congrats!! Ohhh I’m not sure I’d have to go remeasure haha
Hello . Recently subscribed to your channel after hearing u on Tundra talk. Thx for sharing. Is that a Bausch and Lomb elite spotting scope you’re using ?
Sure is! My dad talks about it in our moose hunting video you should check that out, you’ll enjoy it
lol that’s awesome. I’ve probably shot and guided over 90 rams using that scope. Dating myself but close to your dad’s age. Those scopes were under rated. Nothing today comes close to that weight .Keep up the great work.
@@camsidam2617 I appreciate the kind words
Tell me about your rifle? Did you mix up the calibers each year or do you stay with a favorite? Great hunt.
Tikka T3 .270 stainless with synthetic stock. My dad has shot a browning A-blot .270 stainless synthetic for most of his career. We both have .338 stainless synthetic browning A-bolts for moose and bear. Those two calibers and archery equipment is all we ever hunt with.
@@ThomasLees Awesome! I rock a .270 as well. Goes to show that old school techniques and equipment still get the job done. Just like your dad’s knees.🤭
Thats my dream hunt mtn goat using a 7mm rem mag
Heck I paid $20k for Freelance Outdoors and we didn't see a sheep 😂 congrats guys !
That’s the tough part about sheep hunting
What spotting scope is that?
A bausch and lomb elite from probably 1978 haha
What caliber rifle?
.270!
You know it’s funny you say that because you can’t tell him young kids, anything 🎉 we’ve never been there
What does mtn goat taste like?
Sheep is just about the best tasting game meat in Alaska, Sitka black tail is probably better in my opinion.. A big old billy mountain goat is much less desirable haha its got a unique taste and is usually tough. Makes good burger though.
@@ThomasLees dude its like all the old animals males esp in there primes are strong!
Nice hunt, but you act like 60 is old....it's not... :)
My Dad keep saying it’s old for DIY sheep hunting haha
