    Beautiful video, Adam. Not only was I struck by Max's creativity but, most of all, I was struck by his modesty and wide eye view of the world around him. The guys on Wall Street could learn a lesson from Max.

    I love that you use odd things to make a part on the bike. I've collected things to use as unique parts and my wife says how can that be used on a bike and i told her most people look at things for what they are i look at them and see what they can be

    I spent years building and modifying bikes, mostly Italian and english,
    I love all this stuff, so dont take this the wrong way,
    in all my life I have only ever seen ONE that I wanted (everyone to see).
    It is not on youtube, as far as I know, it is way beyond just beautiful.
    it is Roger Goldammer`s red board-track racer. on his website, take a look.
    and weep.

    You build beautiful functional pieces of art ! It is awesome to get out of the usual every day type of boring ass work. At least someone made it !after the accident do you still ride or did it change your way of enjoying a bike ? Thanks bro and good luck..

  • @myntydful
    @myntydful Před 10 lety +1

    wait, did he say that he made the nuts and bolts as well?...

    • @sebwiers1
      @sebwiers1 Před 8 lety +1

      +myntydful Yeah, he said "every single nut and bolt from a bar of steel". Not sure if its the literal truth, but I've found that even for my hack job, I end up needing bolts that just aren't available from hardware stores, usually because I want a smooth shaft of a specific length and then threads on the end. Making bolts is actually pretty easy, basic machine tool work. I try to avoid it because its a time suck (I'm a weekend warrior) and because the ones I buy are stronger (rolled threads, high strength heat treated alloys, etc) than what I could make. But if your main concern is aesthetics then custom cutting a bolt that is a prefect fit makes sense.

    I could easily make that, all I would need is welder, tools, talent, time, money, skill, good looks etc.
    Unfortunately I have none of the above....
    If I was good looking and had a personality my wife would be perfect.....
    My wife's perfect but I have none of the above either!
    The bike is perfect.

      Well he did own his own interior design company.......maybe he made a shit ton of money when he sold his business......or possibly just stay on as a silent partner. I'm sure he does custom stuff for other people on their bikes as a way to pay the bills as well.

    You want to build art or do you want to ride art? Looks like this is just art, cuz you ain't riding those bikes anywhere and that is a shame. If you aren't gonna ride it, you should have just kept it a charcoal drawing, with a nice frame, of coarse.
