About this cover 🌿
- I actually record about 5 harmonies layer but ended up using only 3
- I attempted to scream for the first time and learned how to do it from CZcams and practicing on Linkin Park's song
- I harmonize the scream too lol
- Tried to recall TK's technique on projecting thinner sounds which is really tiring and consuming so much air. I even prefer belting haha ^^'

This song really resonates with me because it talks about someone who experienced such severe suffering and trauma/torture that he was forced to change into this person he hates. He mourns for the death of his past self, a more innocent, normal person. It makes me cry because i relate so much. You want to keep yourself pure, from being defiled in any way, but life isn't like that. It's not like you grow from it either. You simply get stuck into a place you don't want to be at and as a person you wish you weren't. It's so complicated. "Remember me as I was." He's not dead, but a major part of who he was is. It's horrible to life life afterwards as this warped version of yourself.
If you read the manga (haven't watched the anime personally so idk...) Kaneki says in the end that even though he went through a lot of pain, even torture and loss just cuz he happened to be with Rize... he also found a place where he felt like he belonged, made friends, met his mentor and found love, so even if he knew what was coming he would have still gone on that date with Rize ... so yeah he doesn't regret anything and in fact thinks all of that was necessary.
He says this in ch 176 btw of TG re :)
