def plays better on musecore trumpet than actual trumpet, but it sounds good! Just less jumps i think could make it more melodic but ig thats the whole point
I get what you mean, and I'm glad the MIDI sounded decent enough! It would definitely be a challenge to make this sound decent on the real deal, but I feel as though the challenge is what makes playing something like this fun. I do plan on making challenging trumpet works in the future that aren't quite so "everywhere" in the future though, so I hope you'll give another a listen some time!
This insane!! I love the riffs, those are really well written!! This piece was definitely well thought out and I love the complexity! I’d say the only thing that you could improve on, (if you want not trying to give unsolicited advice) could be having a longer transition into the slower section at 24. Maybe a whole note or some quarter notes just because I think it would realistically be difficult to count that quickly, get quieter and transition all at once. You could also have a longer and more dramatic rit. If you think it’s needed to show just how much the emotion of the song changes. Also, at 57 if you want you could add a bit more dramatic pause between sectors just to emphasize the new change of pace and feeling. Hope this helps, don’t feel pressured to do any of that, it’s just my opinion, just in case you wanted a second thought ! :)
I will never turn away good advice 😁 I'll be sure to take this into account when I put together the piano accompaniment for it. I agree that that slower section could be much more dramatic, and in the future when I start working on this again I'll be sure to lengthen that. I greatly appreciate that, and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Let me know what you think!
sounds super cool for the musescore trumpet
Thank you! I'm glad the sound font worked out well for this one.
