What i have heard is the scream was from Dany. They recorded it in their basement studio and they turned the lights out to add to the realism. Dany's scream was so blood curdling and realistic that their mom came running down to the basement in a panic to see what had happened.
Dany did record some screams in the dark but at SOGA. The scream or shriek in PSYCHOTIC is Pau not Dany.
That scream you’re talking about is the one they used on QOTMS , this one on P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C. , as Jay said, is by Pau.

This is the most interesting song on the album from a lyric standpoint. Both dark and profound.
Cheerleader Punk! She is so nuts at this point that the Queen has cheerleaders in her head egging her on. The Queen has lost it, and this great song portrays it perfectly!!
I also thought like acheer for a football team,its the tone of their voices, not knocking the warning band it is a good song
@@ronstout215 true. But in the context of the concept album, this part of the album is pretty much internal dialog with her different personalities. Either way it adds to the psychosis of the main character. They are extraordinary songwriters. 🤘😁

Great reaction! You will be amazed in the next song, Hunter. Creepy lyrics. Pay close attention to the backing screen if you do the Lunario concert. The girls have said that they purposely left some details vague so that the fans could have fun interpreting the songs.
First of all, good job guys! I liked your analysis so much and it's very interesting see another point of view of the same song. So here's my interpretation:
For me she is already a serial killer.
It's known by the people how "the murder queen" or something like that.

And I think some kind of a chase is happen. You know is a novel so maybe we are near the climax.

I'm always amazed at the amount of multi-tasking that these girls can pull off, especially in this song. Dany singing lead and *PLAYING A LEAD* at the same time. If you're a guitarist, give that a try sometime!😁 It's one thing to play chords while you're singing, but quite another to actually play something counterpart to the notes of the lyrics.😮 I love the 90's punk rock vibe of this song!😉 🤘😎🤘 *EDIT:* Why have I never seen the letters spelled out in the fire until now?!! Every time I watch these videos I catch something different, it seems! Absolute genius by all three of these amazing young ladies.💖👍👍

My money is on another person stopping her. "You better drop that gun while you still have a chance. I already feel a knife in my hands, and it won't stop" While suicide is never off the table in this story ( and the synopsis relies exclusively on it), it doesn't really fit with the lyrics. She is clearly in a showdown with someone who is armed. I have no opinion of whether it is police or an intended victim, and it really does not matter. The adage of not bringing a knife to a gun fight is a stark reality.
And imo it just enforces the extent of her insanity that she doesn't seem to feel she is at a disadvantage.

I've said it before,this is my favourite song of theirs hands down,a complete mash up of The Offspring meets Avril Lavigne meets The Glitter Band - that chorus is just too catchy not to repeat.

I love hearing different takes and analysis of the story of this album. I'll tell give you a synapses of my version up to this point.
Think of the singer as a "character". I see each character as a voice inside her head. Pau playing the part of the "Good Queen" or the human side of her, and Dany playing the evil side.
I'm going to focus on Sinister Smiles, Dull Knives, QOTMS and P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C at this point.
Sinister Smiles is a duet. I see it as a conversation from the conscious character or "good Queen" having a conversation with the evil voice in her head, the "bad Queen". Her mind has become fractured. Part of her realizes what she's done and thinks "that's not really me" She can't deal with it. The other side of her is saying "you know you've been like this all along, you just don't let it show to the rest of the world". This is when I think the good queen starts coming to terms that the evil side is actually part of her, and starts contemplating suicide. She's been living a lie, she shows a good woman to the world, but inside she is evil. The bad Queen is encouraging her. She just doesn't care. Pay attention to which parts Dany sings vs what Pau sings vs what they sing in unison.
QOTMS is straight forward. The evil side has taken over and is declaring victory and relishing that fact.
Dull Knives. I think back to "cut through skin and stain the water" and imagine a woman thinking of slitting her wrists in a bath tub. A dull knife will do more damage and be more difficult to repair, thus making "their" demise (the good and evil queens) more likely.
In P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C it's frantic. The authorities, or someone, is after her. They've found her. The good side is trying to get away, she's panicked. The evil side is taunting her, laughing at her. "Will you jump through the window or hang from the noose". Basically, you are going to die either by their hand "hang from the noose". or by your own hand "Jump from the window".
Although you already indicated to me in a live stream that you have already recorded these a long time ago, I won't spoil the rest, but I'll give you one tip. Keep in mind, each singer has her own character. The original plan was for Ale to sing Hunter. When they got to the studio, they decided to not push her into singing on the album, but that was the plan. Ale once said "I think you forgot", but Pau and Dany both said, "No, we didn't forget". lol
Very interesting. In fact. This will be a fantastic graphic novel
I'll go one farther, Rick S. Both son & Dad was kinda stump at the end of *Stalker.* Especially, when the lead character (Queen) murders her lover so early (Chapter 2). What I get out of *Hunter* (especially hearing that Ale was supposed to sing lead as she has live at some shows). We find out in *Hunter* just *WHO WAS STALKING WHO.*
That's my take on those two songs.

Food for thought: in a live chat on December 18, 2018 (available on Patreon but not publically), at 1:03:38 Pau says “the first murder” occurs at the end of Stalker. Now, if there is a first murder, then there is a second and possibly others. I think this is really the only place for more murders to occur.
I love the punk feel of this song. I agree that the evil one has taken over completely and The Queen has given into it and has decided that if she needs to she will do it again. So excited for the next one. Hunter.

I love the part about how she knows she's bad and where she's going, and how she'll sit on that throne :) And also the part about what the choices are; do yourself in (jump from the window) or face the consequences (hang from the noose), or at least that's how I see it. Also, the part after that with ripping of her face or further debasing what she couldn't do, that' a fun bit of text as well!
This album is a timeless masterpiece.. I'm 72 and if these videos were available in 1969, people would have been beside themselves. Not only is the music great, but people back then were not ready for three teenage sisters (from Mexico of all places) to write and play at this level. Queen Of The Murder Scene would have been playing everywhere.
