In tonight's live we're going to be talking about these house announcements and what we can expect for our upcoming house announcements for HHN33.

Brian I can definitely relate with sentiment. You can do the bare minimum...or you can do something extraordinary even if you dont see additional immediate reward from it. Its the extraordinary that people remember and cherish
Thank you! It’s hard for us to put into words what we mean with all this since it has to deal with the feelings and emotions that come from it all. We have always been “read wrong” when we talk about these things, but it’s just coming from a place of love and passion for the event and community. Why not strive for better? Why not go all out and make something that will be incredible for people to cherish forever?

I just finished the replay since it’s a bit too late to watch live from Norway. I’m very excited to go on Vacation to HHN again this year and My current most hyped house is «Goblins Feast».
Had it been anywhere else would I be sceptical of the house idea, but because of HHN’s quality am I super excited. 🤩
Also do you guys think it’s possible to see some Norwegian Trolls in the Museum house since it’s based on folklore? 🧌
Possibly! That’s the great thing about originals, it can be almost anything!
Right off the bat with the intro/hype screen before the live even starts, I’m BLOWN AWAY! I may have gotten a jump scare or 2 hahaha. ITS OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCEMENT SEASON! It’s so exciting to get anything at all, but I just wish there was so much more to it. Logos and a brief little description are such small teases that say so much but so little at the same time. I wish we got videos or flushed out promos. Hollywood needs some love now too with announcements! Hollywood’s seems to be more IP focused, so I’m assuming we will get a first announcement with an IP. I have a feeling we are all getting the original house announcements because it connects to the Unmasking the Horror tours. That way, people know what to expect for those tours. The IP announcements usually being first is how they get people who might not typically go to HHN in the door. The originals are what you get if you show up for a beloved IP. It feels like the originals are getting the love they deserve this year, even if it’s a tactic for the tour promotion. I’m with y’all that I want the promos and announcements and all of the above to be the best they can be. I know the reality but it doesn’t mean that we can’t hope for more. A whole year of originals only would be EPIC. I don’t know if that will ever happen though with how they use IPs to get new people into the event. So many friends of mine went for the first time last year solely for stranger things and TLOU. They saw how epic the event was and loved the originals, and now they’re fans for life. The point made about the lore of the event being more important than the houses, and that being the reason for small little announcements makes a lot of sense. Whose to say?!?!
The reveal of Slaughter Sinema is definitely the best reveal of them all so far, solely because we have an actual visual of what to expect for even a little of the house. Getting a sequel to a house to showcase new stories within the anthology is something to definitely be psyched about. There is so much opportunity for creativity with each “movie” and it makes you feel like you never know what you’re going to get as you’re going through the house. Steph loved the original house so much and I’m so happy for her that we’re getting this sequel. I do wish this announcement especially was more. It was a chance for a massive reveal at a panel, and they should have gone ALL OUT with the house announcement besides the same logo/teaser and a costume. Even just a SMALL little tease of the HHN style theatrics would have made this all the more epic. Goblins Feast and Major Sweets both sound like awesome additions to the event lineup! We know Major Sweets from the scare zone the other year, and I LOVED all I saw of that scare zone. Seeing that flushed out in a house will be cool, but I get the worry the house won’t be as scary based on how the zone was. Goblins just sounds like perfect Halloween vibes with the fantasy aspect of something like D&D. But again, we know NOTHING besides a logo or a little tease. There really is a sky’s the limit vibe when it comes to originals. It’s where HHN and Universal creative shine and get to flex every muscle they have!
I am so hyped for Fright Island!!! Please let me die peacefully if that is how things have to be. The little anecdote about scaring Jenn Tracker made me laugh more than it should have too lol. This was such a fun stream to catch up on and I’m so happy we’re officially in it with announcement season.
I want a twisted metal scare zone soooooooo bad and they already own the rights to it so it wouldn't be expensive for them to do

My comment regarding IPs. As someone from Texas, not a local, IPs drew me in. My first year I went I decided to go because of just its a Halloween event, regardless of IPs and Originals. After booking my trip in January for my 1st HHN that year.. POLTERGEIST was announced soon after and that film is my all time favorite film of all time. I tell this to all, I had a VHS tape of that movie that I played so much that the VCR finally ate it up! So IPs play a major role for this now yearly HHN fan. I attend yearly during Halloween week because the overall event has done its job in bringing me back year after year. But IPs are what draw this Texas fan to the East Coast. If HHN 34 did only originals, Yes I'd go but if my trip got cancelled... I'd be okay. I do need my current balance of 5 originals and 5 IPs. I need my balance of exquisite and satisfying. It's always now up to the individual of what side is "exquisite" and "satisfying". I also do know it wasn't always a 50/50 balance in HHN year's past but HHN has given me this balance that I can't seem to break from. Its like my mind is hard wired for this current HHN gameplan. One last thing, HHN has put themselves in a bracket of 10 houses now, dare they try to go down to 9 houses next year? Most likely we riot if only 9 houses are presented next year. I feel like HHN can't break from 50/50 10 houses of IP's and Originals. I'll be shocked if they do 6 originals and 4 IPs this year. Does this mean all rules are to be broken? Then 9 houses next year! Rules no longer apply. Lastly the all female Monsters house is basically the 6th "original" if its not truely based off an actual Universal Monsters movie but more so a multiverse all female versions of horror legends.. like a FEMALE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON! Duh Duh Duhhhhhhhhh!

Catching the replay! Have to ask.. if Scarezones do not scare Steph...and she wants houses to scare her.. then what is she wanting from the houses to scare her? For me. I love Jump scares! Visuals are not scary for me. But just someone walking around the corner will jump scare into the wall!
Steph here- yes jump scares get me and the small enclosed space of a house as opposed to a street!
I also agree with Brian about IPs.I just really dont believe a large number of people came to HHN last year just because Stranger Things was there. I think its a lazy hypothesis that could have a grain of truth here and there but its not a rock solid fact like many say
I’m sure there is a crowd out there that does look forward to the IP’s for sure. However, I feel like HHN as a whole has grown beyond that within the fan base. There are more people in this community than ever before, and I believe that the number of fans that would go no matter what is to a point that could fill the event pretty decently.
Truly interested to see exactly what those numbers are.
oh! my RAPID FIRE question. Would you attend HHN34 if it was 10 IP houses and 5 IP scarezones. No originals! The year of IP!

I think we can fill in the house locations based on what we know.
Flan is the Mexican house
Cookies is the female monsters house
S’mores is ghostbusters
Pudding is the quiet house
Fudge is the major sweets
Pie is the rumored icon house
Donuts is slaughter cinema because we are get half a dozen monsters
Baklava is the Greek themed museum
Sunday is the demon focused from insidious
Cobbler is the medieval goblin house
I think about half of the code names are self explanatory, and the other half are just abstract names that only have meaning to the person who came up with it
The goblin house was rumored to be black and white at first, maybe just a room is black and white
If you don’t mind me asking, what makes everyone think that Cookies is the Female Monsters house??
@@BrianFromOrlando idk, there’s just been a rumor about a sequel to bride of Frankenstein for a long time, and that code name is the only sound stage not taken
Interesting, we’ve been hearing different things with the Codenames. But only time will tell what they all will come out to be! Really excited so far with the lineup at this point!
Also, in regards to your announcement "issue" of not enough... I believe the majority of "new" fans are fine with the current trend of announcements and how they are handled, they're fine with it. You and all of us HHN fans who have more years under our belts, who have not been through as many spec seasons and announcement seasons we've all been through, have seen better and know they can do better. What is the reason for them holding back? My opinion. The infamous quote... "Less is More". Hopefully that's not the trend with this year's event.
We are really hoping that they don’t dip in giving the community more. Those past years that we’ve experienced were great and we wish we could have more years like such.

No we totally agree with you! What we were saying is not that we want more information but that we’d love for the information we do get to have more effort put into it! For example, we’ve talked about how we loved the scary tales deadly ever after teaser from 2018. That didn’t give away any information about the house but gave us the vibe with just a simple video. We’d love to see those come back rather than just a graphic!
And if we look back at the last 3 years, we have only gotten these graphics for the originals. If we knew a video was coming down the line we wouldn’t be saying we want more but if they follow the trend of the last few years, we can assume we’re not getting any videos for the originals just this single graphic for each.
