At 24 I started having consistent bouts of a lot of blood in my stool and had become severely nauseas for quite some time. Decided to get a colonoscopy as one of my uncles had colon cancer. It came back normal and the the doc said I had a healthy normal 24 year old colon and they weren’t able to see anything in there. A few months after that it went away. Now about to turn 30, I randomly experienced blood in my stool again for about 1-2 weeks.

    Hello. Thanks for the video.
I have had issues for about 6 weeks. Abdominal pain in umbilicus area, weight loss, change in bowl habits and appearance, decreased and increased appetite, and fatigue. I am anemic but that is not new so not concerning for my doctor. Finally was diagnosed with H Pylori. I started meds today and have worse pain. What are the chances there’s more going on? I had a Colo several years ago (d/t anemia) and all was fine so not due for couple of years. Should I go straight to GI?

My husband's regular dr recommend colonguard box. He had his 1st colonoscopy at 50 that was all clear. Now is 60 and the box test came back positive. What do you think about box screening for colon cancer and it's results?

Just a question and hope will be answered... From time to time Im experiencing blood on my stool. The last time I've experienced it last week when I returned in consuming black coffee. Do you think i have a colon polyps??? What do you think should I do to avoid having colon cancer??? Is there other reason why I'm experiencing red blood on my stool except colon polyps??? Hope to get an answer from you. Thanks...

But its true I should do an endoscopy checkup for my 50th birthday! And I wonder if the exam technique has improved today!

Thank you for these warnings. Are there any tests we can do from home between appointments? Not always easy to get a gastroenterologist appointment these days and I hate having to worry for several months! I have increasingly severe IBS-D which I can not seem to get under control. And yes, sometimes rectal bleeding which I thought was due to straining….thank goodness I have an upcoming appointment with my GP. Any blood tests for which I should ask?

detect early? not with the broken healthcare in Canada. doctor's appointment takes 2-3 weeks then basic testing takes another 2-3 weeks and longer wait time for any advance screening like colonoscopy

In Australia, it's even worse. My Dad has had rectal bleeding for 12 months now and he is on a waiting list for a colonoscopy. We called the hospital and they said it could be years before he can get an appointment and even then it's not certain he will get an appointment. The lady at the hospital said they read the referrals faxed in by the Dr and then make a decision if it warrants an appointment. In this country, you die if you're sick. It's f***ed.
