I was at the second of the live shows in London and this was one of the highlights, partly because it wasn't in the Glastonbury live stream last year. Absolutely beautiful, I was amazed to learn just now that this has been around since at least 2009. Amazing work as always guys, this album can't come out soon enough.

I wasn't able to buy the virtual tickets for the concerts which I TOTALLY regret so thanks a lot for covering the song this is my first time listening to this The Smile's version and it's beautiful, I'm hoping they post it officially or someone post it somewhere. Anyways, this is perfect as usual covers, looking forward to the next covers and thanks Joe and Taka for making me Smile(you know what I'm saying) everytime there is a new video of both of you.
P.S: Joe have you ever considered having an Eurorack Modular? It would be amazing besides the expensiveness of it. I'm fascinated with the Make Noise Black & Gold Shared Sytems Plus but they are WAY UP my allowance🤣

Hi Joe. How did you get that Fender Rhodes 73 tone from a nord piano 2? Sounds awesome!
Thanks! I think I usually use the “MK I Close Ideal” or “MK I Low Deep” preset from the Nord library. But now on my Stage 3 I’ve been using their “Nefertiti” sample which is an even creamier Mk I sound!

Wasn’t that Smile live show in London jaw dropping great? I was bowled over. It really made me rethink. I was feeling so cynical about how difficult everything on-line has become, from security to having to sterilize the cookies before you look at a small piece of content. Akin to filling out an endless symptom checklist in a doctors office, just so you can continue to be manipulated. Apologies for the rant but this live show restored for a moment my wishes for what I saw as it’s potential. Why am I surprised it was Thom and Johnny ……again.
You continue to do difficult covers of music and do them justice. I would love you to do an interview of the deep dive you do to go to these places. Cheers!

How much time does it take you usually to get a song right / produce the videos?
It depends on the song! Sometimes a few weeks, sometimes a couple days! We try to coordinate each other’s schedules and time zones the best we can too 😅

Not! It’s Jonny and Thom cutting loose with some new and old ideas in a rawer, almost prog-rock format!

Why are you using a digital piano sound, its an acoustic piano?
We were covering the live version from their performance at the Magazine in London! There, Thom used the Rhodes electric piano instead of acoustic piano like the studio version.
