Just found this channel and after about 30 seconds, subscribed. Finally, I have found another painter, who paints in my style, who actually “thinks“ about what he’s doing. Sure, anyone can paint and entire painting in half an hour, wet on wet, but where’s the fun in that? I thrive on detail, color value and lighting change. Thank you SO much!

The 3D look of the foreground tree is terrific! It’s great to see you do a larger painting. I got two Rosemary brushes this morning. A fan brush and a comber. I feel I’ve learned a lot in such a short time from watching your videos. I was going to start painting only in Acrylics because of how long it can take for oils to dry, and although I used to paint using the same Alkyd oil paints you use, I was using them too thickly. Now, after watching you use them, I’m going to get them again and, with the help of your videos and the use of Liquin, I’ll be using the Acrylics for under painting. Thank you for the encouragement and your generosity in teaching us.

I am simply in awe. There was a point when you were about a third of the way into the video where I blinked and the tree looked absolutely realistic all of the sudden- just popping off of the canvas. I hope I can achieve that myself over time. *What do you think was your biggest motivation for mastering detail? *What helps you most while your working to not overwork the canvas (I have issues overthinking- hard to have new eyes when looking at your own)? *of all your training, what was most helpful in achieving detail? I know where I started, I know how far my painting has come in a year but I have no idea how long its gonna take me to get even half this good but im betting it's gonna take many, many years to even get half this good but he gives me hope, instruction and inspiration
Dave Nonyabiz keep at it Dave, you never know who you might end up inspiring in the same way. The fact you are already on this path is a great sign. Just remember to appreciate the steps and milestones along the way because there is never a finish line where you will look up and go “yup, this is it, I’m finally great”. Each piece you create will move the marker further and make you want to be better and better. You got this

It's still hard for me to fathom anyone wanting to buy or hang anything I painted since I'm not an artist so its been a surreal journey so far.
