I love the canoe pattern, it’s my current favourite, but recently I’ve thinking about picking up a Sodbuster. There’s something about the simplicity of it that appeals.
I just literally got my 1st Case Sodbuster yesterday morning and haven't had too much pocket time with it, but I've had my Rough Ryder canoe for several weeks now and I absolutely love it. After I've carried my Sodbuster for a while, I'll be able to give a better comparison. For now, I'd say I like the Canoe pattern better; but that opinion could change as time goes on. Anyway, thanks very much for sharing and Cheers!
Very nice. Just picked up a case cv canoe in amber jigged bone. It’s great and I like the size. I did notice how close in size it is compared the sodbuster jr
I never considered the comparison before. It's a valid one. I just got out a Canoe and a sod buster jr to compare. I think your right it and it would be better to carry the Canoe. Of course this is a secondary. I do prefer large blades as a primary.
I love the canoe pattern I was chasing them for awhile I slowed down and moved on to other blades but the canoe I was buying for a couple years before I moved on to other knives and your right the size is very comparable thanks so much and have a great weekend😊
I've been carrying a sod buster most my life but you don't see anybody talking about the full-size sodbuster anymore I would like to see some different patterns in the the full size
Here’s my gripe with a sodbuster… I don’t care for the blade shape in an edc or utility role. I prefer either a spear point or even better a wharncliff or sheep’s foot. Second, that exposed protrusion that rest against the back spring digs into my leg while carrying it. I much rather have blades that are concealed within the handle and smooth rounded edges.
Love that Bone on that Soddy…Thanks for showing it!
My wife gave me the Schrade USA Bruin Lockback for my birthday and it’s just like a Soddy Jr with a lock It fits your sheath perfectly

Great video brother!! 2 more fine case pieces you have there, but that damn soddy is fire!!!! Great comparison, thanks for sharing!!

Nice idea on the size comparison. Hard to believe you just have the one Sodbuster and one Canoe. Thanks for showing these beauties. atb - TK
Thanks! Yeah I really want to step up my sodbuster game! I really like a bone Soddy and they’re relatively affordable too
Great video. Both are really capable and good knives
Great video and comparison! Thanks my friend!!
That was very informative thank you so much
Great video I have 16 canoes and no sod buster I prefer 2 or more blades
Canoes are great. Your right, I'm surprised not as many people carry them.

Great observation Sir……I like both patterns but the extra blade on the canoe is more handy.

Great comparison, buddy!
The Canoe pattern does seem to just slip into your pocket and disappear. Nice comparison!
Excellent review !

This is making me consider getting a sodbuster jr.
Awesome!
sodbuster jr all day long for me. i really just like a one bladed knife as a daily carry

I get that, I rarely ever carry a knife in my pocket though, almost always in a belt sheath, or a slip
93mm Alox SAK's will fit in that pouch also
