    I like the clock bell in the background marking the quarters. I once had the pleasure of staying in a village with a church clock like this and it's surprising the difference in productivity and peacefulness it makes. Liking the smart workarounds you had on those front forks, the cut down allen key and using the axle for fork height installation. Well done

    Hi Stefan, great vlog . I’m in Australia and ride a 2014 Road King Classic with standard rear air adjustable shocks with 35 mm lowering blocks which change the angle of the rear shocks slightly. If I was to install the Wilbers rear shocks, would the slight angle change from the lowering blocks have any negative affect on the performance of the suspension.
    Cheers, Frank

    • @stefansgarage3014
      @stefansgarage3014  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Frank, of course the Nivomat shock (left one) is designed and approved for a stock Harley. Do you need the lowering blocks because of your rider height? Because the Wilbers shock length is as well 13in, like on the stock RKC. At least two of my customers have the Nivomat in combination with lowering blocks and are very happy as well.

    Habe das Öhlins stx36 HD772 hinten verbaut.Bin nun am überlegen vorne auch was zu machen habe da an Federn gedacht oder an das Progressive Suspension Monotube Gabelkit gedacht was würdest du eher empfehlen oder macht auch Sinn?

    • @stefansgarage3014
      @stefansgarage3014  Před 4 měsíci

      Ich würde grundsätzlich bei einer Marke bleiben, da die Sachen (zumindest bei Wilbers) aufeinander abgestimmt sind. Das wird mit der Cartridge vorne allerdings teuer und schwierig (Lampenverkleidung anbohren). Nimm Gabelfedern mit Öl von Wilbers (oder Hyperpro), das reicht bei einer normal bis sportlich bewegten Road King locker aus und bringt eine preiswerte, deutlich spürbare Verbesserung.

      Hi vibe27vibe (?), what a coincidence, I just finished work on a Titanium Dust 2014 CVO Road King. The problem with this beautiful King is the unique fork construction, only shared with the Ultra Low and extremely stiff. We converted the fork to M8 standard (keeping the stock chrome lowers) with the M8 Wilbers springs. Fly and Ride used to have your brand on his 2020 CVO Street Glide and is now happier on Wilbers. So yes, your ride will be more comfortable on Wilbers Nivomat, but you need to do something on the fork as well.

    i'm going to upgrade to either Wilber's or Legends on a 2021 Road King Standard. I'm curious to get feedback from the group here on which is superior... i can't really find any direct comparison though from what i can see online, they are similar in both cost and buyer feedback. My HD dealer is pushing me toward Legends, likely because they get some local kickback. They actually said they'd never heard of Wilber's (I educated him, haha). As for comparison, Legends has the "limited lifetime" warranty vs. "5 years" from Wilber's... and Wilber's has "self-leveling"- so i see advantages to both . Would love some guidance before I make the decision.

    • @stefansgarage3014
      @stefansgarage3014  Před 2 lety

      It's hard to get a comparison between both. Mostly the US guys don't know Wilbers and the European don't know Legends. Hardly anyone will change between aftermarket brands, because they all offer a huge improvement compared to stock. You always have to compare a full conversion (front and rear), as Wilbers Nivomat always comes as a full set. If You are only riding one up, it doesn't make that much of a difference. But if You are riding single, two up, with or without luggage, You definitely should opt for Wilbers. The Wilbers ride is always same or more comfortable as the other brands AND you don't have to adjust anything. Make sure, your technician knows how to install the Wilbers-like shown in the video. By the way Matt Laidlaw is running Wilbers on his personal Street Glide Special and Million Dollar Bogan on his CVO Road Glide.
