Great video. I gotta be honest, Rob is a good pilot. His command of feeling the airplane is clear. What I enjoyed most about the video is seeing the student pilot at work, the stress level, and the commitment to getting it right. This video gives the viewer the real world experience of how instruction should be done. Relaxed and fun atmosphere makes the learning experience enjoyable. Well done.

Keep it up Rob! You are doing great. These videos remind me of my first 20-30 hrs of training.....I would finish mentally exhausted and soaking wet in sweat here in Houston. I thought I would never ever put it all together. All of a sudden it all starts to click and you will start flying the plane instead of the plane flying you! You have another great advantage..your instructor. Keeping it loose, fun, but conveying his knowledge with confidence.

Excellent instructor/student dynamic. Much can be learned for both CFI candidates and primaries!

I liked how in other videos, you and Otto were constantly looking for fields, good airmanship. Rob sure was working up a sweat there!

Man im about to do my presolo with another instructor and I was worried about memorizing the checklist for emergency procedure, having a flow. You made this so easy. After watching it a few times I GOT IT. Thanks for what you do. Based in Orlando so I hear you quite often

Interesting video Lewis! As a pilot looking to become an instructor your videos are inspiring new ways of teaching and is so interesting to see the instructor-student dynamics. Also about oil pressure during the start of the video, that happened to me while I was in the circuit last week! Gave me a scare but nothing broke and I managed to land safely, that was my first ever engine trouble I had to deal with.

Great video. Is there a FAA rule on how low you can go AGL before you must recover. I know it's 500 ft in the UK.

Generally 500ft in sparsely populated areas, unless there's nothing around. www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/14/91.119
