How and Why I came to South Africa? - Yolanda Methvin

I'm an American who relocated to South Africa, to live and work in 1998. This after having spent a few months only in Bophuthatswana now called, "Northwest Province", in 1992. There during the political turmoil and upheaval which occurred after the assassination of Chris Hani and more, it was that and other cultural experiences of the time, such as the transition and repeal of racially exclusive "Beach Laws", which left me feeling attuned to the emerging nascent Democracy of the New South Africa. Here's a bit of my story...
