PERTH TO EXMOUTH ROAD TRIP | DISCOVERING THE BEST OF THE WEST COAST | epic 10 day road trip in WA

booked a hippie high top camper from Apollo for $1150
total spent on fuel was $
camping cost
Carnarvon $35 - for the local cheap caravan park
Exmouth $96 - RAC Exmouth
swimming with the whale sharks was $430 each
Rottnest island ferry $ 142 and bus ticket (australian Pinnacle tours) $25
we spent a total of 10 days driving from perth to exmouth and back
DAY 1
- we picked our van up in perth and hit the road to get to the pinnacles, there is a driving track around the pinnacles so you can see every part of it. then we went to cervantes where we has lunch at the sea breeze cafe then went to lake thesis and henson lookout. and then we camped our first night in Geraldton at point moore lighthouse where they have free camping.
DAY 2
- We woke up nice and well before sunrise to get on the road to see the pink lakes it was very overcast but the lake was still very pink and had our breakfast there with a pretty good view. then headed over to Kalbarri there's a $15 fee to enter the National park. we went to the skywalk, natures window and Z bend lookout. then spent the night at the Billabong roadhouse.
DAY 3
- we woke up nice and early again to go to Monkey Mia for the dolphin feeding, then after seeing the dolphins we went to Shark bay. I was so excited to finally make it to shark bay they have an awesome tour around the aquarium. We booked a campground at the cheapest caravan park it was $35 for the night.
Day 4
- We made our way to the cactus gardens then made the long drive up to Coral Bay where we went for a snorkel, then finally the last little stretch we make it to exmouth so be booked into our camping then went for a drive to turquoise bay for another swim then watched the sunset our first proper sunset over the water

Caching road trip! Checked out the bear. Whale sharks look amazing ... I must visit there some day and return to Rottnest. Quokkas are awesome. Cool vid!

Thank you, yes I would they are a good price and the van worked well no mechanical problems. I do recommend paying for the extra insurance like wheel, windscreen and dent cover. It's definitely worth hiring a van and travelling up the coast
