  • Welcome to episode five of our brand new series 'Ancient Churchyards of Cheshire. In this episode join me as I take you to Daresbury in Cheshire to take a look around the churchyard of All saints church. We take a look at this wonderful site once the place where a young Charles Lutwidge Dodgson played as a child. Today we know him better by his pen name of Lewis Carroll, famous author of the Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass books. With over twenty other Cheshire churchyards to feature in the coming months new episodes will be released soon.

    Very interesting, I grew up near Lyndhurst where Alice Pleasance Liddell (the inspiration for Alice) is buried, nice connection to Cheshire!
