2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 fuel level empty issue

How to get to the sending unit on a 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 and what the sending unit issue is. Float won’t float.

Will it keep it from running mine just smells like it’s dumping fuel but the needle is blinking and the gas gauge is blinking and it says fuel across the display and it won’t start

I have a question is ur 08 polaris sportsman 500 ho efi or not ? I kinda of have the same is issue on mine but mine is Culberated so I am wandering if urs is the same set up as mine

What did you do for a retaining clip for the new float

So I ended up buying a cork stopper from Hobby Lobby for ~$2 and then put the same retainer ring\washer back on. I put the end of the wire in a vice and smashed it again so that the ring\washer would come off.

I broke the little wire for the indicator and now I need to buy just a sending unit. Any idea where I can find one ???
