We have to say this has been one thing we wanted to tick off our bucket list for a while! We are so glad we did this and even though Jess couldn’t do the full experience it was still fantastic.
We would recommend monkey kart and make sure to book in advance as tickets go quickly! Also bring your international drivers licenses and be ready to have the most fun in Tokyo!
You ride through the most iconic places in the city and get so much attention as you are dressed in the most epic outfits and all having a great time. The team at monkey kart also made this day super special.

Over the 20 days we were on the move around Japan we use our JR passes to travel as far as Hiroshima and also up as far as the northern island of Hokkaido to Sapporo! That looks super cool but also a little small. Do you think a larger man (6'6" 285lbs) would fit in the go kart? I don't want to book this only to be embarrased when I get there 😅
It was brilliant! I’m sure you’ll be fine, but Alice isn’t very tall and even her seat was all the way back and her knees were quite bent, so we’d say the best thing would be to just message them beforehand, they’re very helpful and answered all our questions over Instagram dm’s, they have two different types of karts / vehicles too so that might be more comfortable for you to still have fun! We hope you get the chance to enjoy it too!😁

How exciting it’s the best place for a solo trip, they have the best restaurants to eat alone and it’s a very popular place for it! No not at all embarrassing you’ll join a group anyways and everyone is so lovely and welcoming you’ll still have so much fun! We hope you have an amazing trip!🤩

Yes very true, we were told some strict rules to keep them and us safe and everyone around us, that’s why we were lucky getting so much footage because Jess was on the back of a guide so she could film us all going along! The go pro strap for your head is a good idea to capture your experience!😁
