    I still have my 90 and have shot a ton of fish with it. It does sink a bit so be prepared. I now have a Meandros 115 with the 3 band muzzle and that is the best pipe gun I've ever owned. If you need a small gun you can't go wrong with Pathos. If you want to step it up in the pipe gun category check out Meandros.

    You can double rap this gun and there is a side release option for your shooting line. If anyone is torn on getting this gun, don’t hesitate to get it. I have 3 and each one hasn’t let me down. It’s for beginners, intermediate and advanced divers!

    Can anyone help?
    What is the difference between pathos mechanism D'angelo 1 or 2 or 3 and which is the best?

    I'm just starting spearfishing and thinking about getting this as my first gun, do you think I should get this or something cheaper or less advanced

    • @DivingSports
      @DivingSports  Před 3 lety +4

      This would work for ya! I wouldn't really consider this an advanced gun. I think anything lower than this would have a plastic trigger mechanism and no track, and I typically recommend people to stay away from guns like that unless you're on a tight budget. At the bare minimum, you want to look for spearguns that have a stainless steel trigger mechanism as they're more durable and reliable. Everything after that is going to be based on budget, style of diving, and personal preference. I'd say for most people, an aluminum pipe gun that has an open muzzle, track/rail, and stainless steel trigger mechanism will be great. Of course that changes when you start getting into longer lengths and different styles of spearfishing but yea its a good place to start.

      @@DivingSports how does the pathos railgun compare to the rob Allen tuna rail gun?

    • @DivingSports
      @DivingSports  Před 3 lety +1

      @@brrr8904 Pathos Laser Open Pro has an ergonomic handle whereas the Tuna does not. Tuna has a longer shaft overhang, and the shaft is notched whereas the Pathos has shark fin tabs. Both great guns, comes down to personal preference. I'd personally go with the Tuna but I'm also switching over to Rob Allen so I'm biased :)

    Perfect! I actually enjoyed watching it! But... Would u prefer this or the cressi Cherokee fast??

    • @DivingSports
      @DivingSports  Před 3 lety +1

      The Cherokee Fast is better in some aspects, as it has a side line release that some people may like, a better safety mechanism, and it comes with a reel which the Pathos does not. However Cressi trigger mechs don't have the greatest reputation in terms of durability and reliance.

      @@DivingSports fair enough, I just bought the cressi fast 😅 but we can't do spearfishing right now, lockdown is still up :/ but I can't wait to try it! Keep it up!

    • @DivingSports
      @DivingSports  Před 3 lety +3

      @@tjpereira1564 Yea I haven't used that gun personally, I've just heard the trigger mechs can be a bit sketchy sometimes. I'd just make sure to do a freshwater rinse after each dive and not overload it. Otherwise, you should be totally fine!

      I have this gun and is fantastic very simple, very well made I put a vertical reel and is my everyday gun the line release is quite different but you get used to it fast, a very good gun, the problems with the trigger comes in sizes up to 120 by the amount of pressure applied by the bands, love mine, highly recommended.

    I just got a pthos roller, and the loading pad- butt sucks. poorly designed, keeps falling off, and the padding is thin. Compared to beuchat hero, its thick and soft , easy to install and doesnt go off.
