i rode my road king anywhere my adventure took me. beaches, wooded trailsz deer hunting, in the front doors of the topless saloon in dallas. rode it almost two miles out onto a sand bar and walked back to the pier and snapped a photo. looked like it was sitting on water. point being its a machine and meant to be used. most times only limited by the rider. my club brothers gave me shit but i always told them the next payment is due the 1st, if you wanna make it ill ride it like you say. im disabled now and cant afford a trike so those memories are all i have. on that, thanks for taking me on your journeys. top notch bastard in my books. 🌲🐻🌲✌️💘

I got stranded on my bike twice the other day. I was kidding my wife that I was turning into you. I've been stranded numerous times over the decades and I've never particularly cared for it, but you're right, those are far and away the most memorable experiences.

I will be riding my 2008 Harley Low Rider around America. After the death of my wife from Cancer in 2014, I sold off everything to pay her Bills from her 3 year battle. I now am homeless and started a small freight delivery service. It operated until March of this year when Covid-19 hit. My business was shut down by Government along with thousands of other companies. I have now been out of work for 6 months with no income. I lost my delivery truck to repossession for non payment, because the State of Michigan and Governor have my business shut down. Now with the truck gone, I have no shelter or place to live. I was living in my truck. I have nothing left for a lifetime of work except my paid for Harley-Davidson Low Rider. So now, with no home, bank account or Work, at 66, I am going to pull a Daniel... I am going to get on my Harley, and hit the Road to adventure. I will keep it on the pavement though. Each day is counting down, like you say.... so it is now time to enjoy my life, and have my own adventure. With no family, I am on my own. Daniel listen to the Song "A Thousand Miles From Nowhere" by Dwight Yoakum. You inspire me Daniel. I am now riding off to my own adventure! 😉

Freezing Effing cold mornings and all that great stuff but we explored abandoned mines, tried not to fall down 300 foot shafts and basically " lived the dream " Good on you Danny, you are an inspiration to me. Hey! I live in Alaska on prince of whales island and watch as many videos of yours that I have time for. I love the way you freaking use the bike to its max! I have a Indian chief dark horse and ride to work almost every day, on seven miles of gravely potholed road before I hit pavement and the rides like a dream no matter what surface, it’s about and hour and fifteen minutes to work and I ride rain or shine. The reason I’m writing you is that when I sent the bike Seattle to get new tires put on and have it detailed and gone through. The mechanic said “ after 15 years of working on bikes this bike had dirt in places it shouldn’t have, he’s never seen a cruiser this dirty”. Not something I’m proud of but when I bought the bike I said, I’m gonna use it, it’s gonna get dented and scratched and dirty, but it’s gonna be a part of me, and it has. These cruisers can do so much more than we think. Your an inspiration and thanks for loving life not being afraid to live it up! Cheers from Alaska

I have been enjoying your videos for only a short time but I can identify a lot with your comments on getting older and really making some memories. My father had dementia and now my sister in her early 50s has early onset Alzheimer’s . Really gets to me sometimes. I work for a hospital in a nursing home so I am around this stuff a lot. Your story is a lot like mine. I beat kidney cancer twice, the second time just before my second wife cheated and left. My father passed away from dementia and my mother passed away 2 months later. 3 years later my brother passed away from colon cancer and my sister is currently battling pancreatic cancer. Life has a way of throwing curve balls but if you're a fighter, you won't let the hard times defeat you. Blessings!

Took me a little longer to learn my lesson, but learn it I did, 21 years ago. I quit cold turkey alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and caffeine on the same day. On my own, without so much as a stick of gum for an aid...and never looked back. Now, if I could just find a cure for my ass hole personality we'd be shooting straight.

Catching up on some of the old journeys whilst waiting for the new adventures (nov 22). It’s refreshing to watch, so many funny moments like “no stand” on the trike, and watching the reverse is gold 👏🏼. Something seems to be missing in the current series, can’t quite work out what, but it’s lost its mojo and I’m a bit tired of all the toll complaining etc etc. I will keep watching as Danny is one special guy but hope he gets to find his better self again soon ❤

Danny's put in the hard yards, doing 100 hours a week for 10 years building his real estate business. So i think he has earned the right to live his life his way and spend his money on whatever the fuck he wants to. He puts himself and his Harley in some pretty dangerous situations sometimes but no one can say he aint living life to the absolute fullest. He truly is living the dream and there are far to few people who can say that in all honesty. Not just that, he knows what it's like to struggle and suffer and that in turn has given him a heart of gold.👍👍

Danny, do what you like with your money. I could understand people being upset if it was a limited edition bike. But it’s on every HD showroom in the country/world, at an individual level - beyond what an owner bestows on it, it has no historical, cultural or artistic value. My life fell apart 5 years ago and I totally get you drive to experience as much adventure as you can. I bought a 27 year old Electra Glide 2 years ago and am having a few adventures now after 30 years as a hard working provider. life can be good after disaster but as you do you have to go out and grab it, for as long as you can , I personally hope you have many many years enjoying yourself, you have worked and worked for your freedom. I rode my 2019 cvo street glide up a gravel road for 10ks because I couldn't be bothered riding 50ks in the opposite direction to find a sealed road! Look at old Harley riders going up hills, off-road, over jumps, you name it all roads in the day were gravel... Harleys are built tough. Just keep moving forward...
Dan your words with regard to living life are so so true. I am aged 70 and have from the age of 16 always had my motorbikes. Use to go on burn ups with my mates to Brighton UK until they became sensible married had kids and I did the same but still kept riding. Sadly one of my mates who I grew up with died of Cancer / Covid 2 months ago and when I now reflect on his life he did nothing other than be a husband and father .If he was happy doing that then fine but I wanted more out of life than that. I instead went around Europe on my bike got lost camped in parks ate Mc Ds rather than buy expensive meals , got lost and hopefully when Covid allows I will be doing it again soon. I am definitely not as brave as you are but life is for living. Being old doesn't have too many advantages except one perhaps. And that is when I have wanted to change my last few bikes I have managed to get my wife to agree as I always say to her " Well his will probably be my last bike dear " Stay safe out there.
Yes danny, you can put a reverse on a Road King. There's a company in the USA who has a special gear drive pully system that you can install on any harley to give it a reverse option.
I retired at 62 and now at 64 soon,I'm trying to scratch these bucket list items off one by one ! Live life boys and girls ,because it will be over before ya know it !

Your videos make me want to get out there on my harley and explore. Harley to me is the definition of freedom and you are living it to the fullest.
When the guy driving said ok Google, my phone whent to Google assist. I didn't know it even done that. Great vlog I notice people say you have the wrong bike for the job, but you know what who really remembers the guy on the adventure bike there are thousands of people doing that but only one doing it on a Harley. Great speal about the wankers that leave negative comments! I just returned from a two night camping trip with my son and 78 year old father. Freezing Effing cold mornings and all that great stuff but we explored abandoned mines, tried not to fall down 300 foot shafts and basically " lived the dream " Good on you Danny, you are an inspiration to me. I've dealt with depression, anxiety and worse. Do what you fucking want to. We love ya!😎

Eight days a year I get to head off on a motorcycle tour. Just me, the lads, and our bikes. There are plenty of awesome roads out there, even ones with asphalt! Great to see them popping up in your vlogs. Keep livin’ your life Danny, it’s the only one you’ve got.

Hey! I live in Alaska on prince of whales island and watch as many videos of yours that I have time for. I love the way you freaking use the bike to its max! I have a Indian chief dark horse and ride to work almost every day, on seven miles of gravely potholed road before I hit pavement and the rides like a dream no matter what surface, it’s about and hour and fifteen minutes to work and I ride rain or shine. The reason I’m writing you is that when I sent the bike Seattle to get new tires put on and have it detailed and gone through. The mechanic said “ after 15 years of working on bikes this bike had dirt in places it shouldn’t have, he’s never seen a cruiser this dirty”. Not something I’m proud of but when I bought the bike I said, I’m gonna use it, it’s gonna get dented and scratched and dirty, but it’s gonna be a part of me, and it has. These cruisers can do so much more than we think. Your an inspiration and thanks for loving life not being afraid to live it up! Cheers from Alaska
i just recently bought a 2017 road king special. basically the same color as yours. i am currently saving up for my first adventure. you are my inspiration to be more honest and free in my own skin. as a 27 year old male with depression, i have suffered with suicidal thoughts, and your vlogs and your words really mean alot to me. one day i will be able to do a real adventure like as you do. but i have to start small and just have some fun. I have been enjoying your videos for only a short time but I can identify a lot with your comments on getting older and really making some memories. My father had dementia and now my sister in her early 50s has early onset Alzheimer’s . Really gets to me sometimes. I work for a hospital in a nursing home so I am around this stuff a lot. Anyway you make me laugh, your humor is infectious. Really appreciate your videos!

Your story is a lot like mine. I beat kidney cancer twice, the second time just before my second wife cheated and left. My father passed away from dementia and my mother passed away 2 months later. 3 years later my brother passed away from colon cancer and my sister is currently battling pancreatic cancer. Life has a way of throwing curve balls but if you're a fighter, you won't let the hard times defeat you. Blessings!

Took me a little longer to learn my lesson, but learn it I did, 21 years ago. I quit cold turkey alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and caffeine on the same day. On my own, without so much as a stick of gum for an aid...and never looked back. Now, if I could just find a cure for my ass hole personality we'd be shooting straight.

Catching up on some of the old journeys whilst waiting for the new adventures (nov 22). It’s refreshing to watch, so many funny moments like “no stand” on the trike, and watching the reverse is gold 👏🏼. Something seems to be missing in the current series, can’t quite work out what, but it’s lost its mojo and I’m a bit tired of all the toll complaining etc etc. I will keep watching as Danny is one special guy but hope he gets to find his better self again soon ❤

Danny's put in the hard yards, doing 100 hours a week for 10 years building his real estate business. So i think he has earned the right to live his life his way and spend his money on whatever the fuck he wants to. He puts himself and his Harley in some pretty dangerous situations sometimes but no one can say he aint living life to the absolute fullest. He truly is living the dream and there are far to few people who can say that in all honesty. Not just that, he knows what it's like to struggle and suffer and that in turn has given him a heart of gold.👍👍

I have a Kawasaki Z900 1976 model which is in real good condition and I ride as much as I can . I will keep riding till I can’t put my leg over. I hope to have a few more years yet. Two, you have only proven how tough the Harley is. Hell I'm thinking about trading my wideglide for a road king. Just because of what you put yours threw. I see the skid plate came in handy. Danny, do what you like with your money. I could understand people being upset if it was a limited edition bike. But it’s on every HD showroom in the country/world, at an individual level - beyond what an owner bestows on it, it has no historical, cultural or artistic value. The value is to you, and as you say, it’s creating great memories for you. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Hi Danny I'm sorry that you spent so much time in this vlog defending your lifestyle , I'm happy you can do the things you want to do. My life fell apart 5 years ago and I totally get you drive to experience as much adventure as you can. I bought a 27 year old Electra Glide 2 years ago and am having a few adventures now after 30 years as a hard working provider. life can be good after disaster but as you do you have to go out and grab it, for as long as you can , I personally hope you have many many years enjoying yourself, you have worked and worked for your freedom. I'm with you Danny have fun on your Harley... so good to watch a man do what he wants to do with his life. I rode my 2019 cvo street glide up a gravel road for 10ks because I couldn't be bothered riding 50ks in the opposite direction to find a sealed road! Look at old Harley riders going up hills, off-road, over jumps, you name it all roads in the day were gravel... Harleys are built tough. Just keep moving forward...
Dan your words with regard to living life are so so true. I am aged 70 and have from the age of 16 always had my motorbikes. Use to go on burn ups with my mates to Brighton UK until they became sensible married had kids and I did the same but still kept riding. Sadly one of my mates who I grew up with died of Cancer / Covid 2 months ago and when I now reflect on his life he did nothing other than be a husband and father .If he was happy doing that then fine but I wanted more out of life than that. I instead went around Europe on my bike got lost camped in parks ate Mc Ds rather than buy expensive meals , got lost and hopefully when Covid allows I will be doing it again soon. I am definitely not as brave as you are but life is for living. Being old doesn't have too many advantages except one perhaps. And that is when I have wanted to change my last few bikes I have managed to get my wife to agree as I always say to her " Well his will probably be my last bike dear " Stay safe out there.
Yes danny, you can put a reverse on a Road King. There's a company in the USA who has a special gear drive pully system that you can install on any harley to give it a reverse option.

Well said Danny, I think your an ambassidor for Harley Davidson, you've certainly opened my eyes to them, I'm a Land Rover man and wouldn't be with out my series 4 Discovery, but Land Rover and Harley's weren't the most reliable modes of transport in the 1970, the amount of punishment you've put your bike through, she starts first time and just keeps going, albeit held together with bunji cords thanks for all your hard work - cheers.
