You reached level 15, you defeated all your enemies and walked out rich, but the campaign ends with the understanding that everything you built is doomed and everything you did is futile...But the story is told so beautifully that you don't mind.
I don't really care for the palaces and light-filled landscapes that Howard describes in this and some other stories; not sinister or alien enough. I much prefer the crypts, underground temples, abandoned churches, cyclopean blocks and a "dripping Babylon of elder daemons" instead. 🖤
