Descendants The Rise of Red is out now! However I’ve seen some people confused about the time travel, so here’s on possibility.

I love your theory! I have a personal theory that will most likely not be right but who knows, so I watch it and i personally loved the movie, however there were some thing that might have not caught some people’s attention, so when uliana picks up the book it freezes her and her gang, then when they go back, the queen of hearts has a different look, BUT, I think they messed up the timeline cause if hades and Maleficent were permanently frozen, then mal would not exist, and then hook is also permanently frozen, then that means who would be umas right hand mate? And who knows, maybe will have a little villainous side to Cinderella cause at castle coming, the queen of hearts did say that Ella (the young Cinderella didn’t care at the time and was with Prince Charming, if this is all true, Red and Chloe will have to go back and reset everything to set the timeline straight, but however I do predict that uliana isn’t actually responsible for this, but who knows, I can’t wait for descendants 5!

With your theory, not bad! but the gang wasn't permanently frozen.. Of course Merlin eventually unfroze them, he merely said they'd have detention for years. (which is kinda funny considering they get locked on the isle of the lost, similar to being in detention from the rest) So, Mal would exist naturally and so would Harry (Hook's son). Also, the villainous side of Cinderella wouldn't quite make sense! If the prank never happened, Cinderella would still meet up with Charming and still fall in love. Only now, I would assume she and the Queen are friends still. HOPEFULLY, they actually show the events of the castle coming in 5, it would have made it so much better.. ToT

What doesn’t make sense to me is the bad guys getting a hold of the book… if they had it in the old timeline, wouldn’t they have gotten hexed? Frozen? And none of it would’ve happened in the first place?? Makes no sense to me
