- Meus racing Ripper V2 to V3 CNC Upgrade Traxxas TRX4m
After getting my hands on one of the limited edition V3 CNC machined rippers it was only a matter of time before i made the decision to actually use it. Stripping the V2 was fairly straight forward once you’ve got round the fiddly screws.
Using all the nice parts from Meus Racing and the power plant from Furitec it was soon all back together .
One small hiccup was that the headlight unit had failed, but a shout out to Meus Racing and a replacement was soon in the post. Thanks Meus.
As always i hope you like the video, and please like and subscribe to keep up to date with future adventures and modifications.

Great video mate. The V3 cage & panels are absolutely stunning.
Thanks. I look forward to getting it dirty lol
I cannot believe I missed out on these. Super wicked!! Really a bummer. Hopefully they will do another run. Thanks for showing it, not much info on them online
Only a few of us owners have done videos. They go for stupid prices on eBay. Oh well, I have one of 2 in the UK and mine has “Usage Marks” now lol.
I ended up finding one 2 hours from me on FB marketplace, 350$ is a bit much.. but I think I’ll be picking it up this weekend!
@@damonmuse6567 awesome. What number and colour ?
Awesome crawler 😊
Thank you man. Please sub if you like what i do. Thanks
So close to 1,000 I had to subscribe
Thank you, that’s much appreciated
I didn't like having no springs personally. It made it feel like it was so violent when going at speed over any bumps or drop offs.
When you say the Meus transmission sits higher, higher than a stock trx4m or some other brand?
I’ll give it a go. There won’t be any fast crawling here lol.
The Meus gearbox sits slightly higher as it’s alloy not plastic
very nice build sir. how much would one expect to pay for those parts you used for the build.?
Thank you, Axles £120, Motor and esc £120, Wheels and tyres £60 and the body shell £300. Things like links and servo add another £70-100
Is the lemon receiver smaller than the AR-52 series receiver? Every millimetre counts in these 😉
I’m not certain, I guess it depends on how many channels you go for. I have 4 channel in this. It’s certainly something I’m going to be looking into.
@crawlstockrc ah right, I run AR52-A2 with flysky giving me 5 channels in the 1/24s👍
What remote and receiver do you use for light control
I use a Spektrum DX5Rugged
How much was this set up in total?
You’re probably looking at £700-800 at a guess
Okay I have to ask why are you stripping out one down put the same Parts on the other one
One is the V2 injection moulded plastic and one the V3 CNC machined aluminium.
