    Bruce Lee is definitely the idol everyone looked up to and was inspired by. So that's already a great reason why he was such a symbol in the martial arts world, and so great at his craft. And, he was so fast with his kicks, that Hollywood had to modify their camera equipment just to catch all of Bruce's movements. I don't care who you are in the industry, that's fast lol.
    But aside from that, my favourites of all time will always be Bruce Lee {R.I.P}
    Jet, Jackie, Donnie and Tony Jaa. To me, they're just as fast and awesome to watch on screen.

      @@vazgl100 oh i know. I appreciate the message. Hollywood is Hollywood after all. That is a given and well known fact, so i am aware of the tricks and special effects. But Bruce as a martial artist, is still a different thing entirely. 👍🏾😉

    • @zaynes5094
      @zaynes5094 Před rokem +1

      @Tab Ally Actually, same things said about Jet Li.
      Even Jackie Chan said that although he and Li were good friends, and had known each other for a long time, he had never done a movie with Jet Li so he never knew until they worked together on The Forbidden Kingdom (which isn't a great movie but does have some great fight scenes), he said he never knew just how fast Jet Li was before working with him. I think Jet should've been top 3 on the list honestly. His style of Kung Fu he was trained in is designed to be flowing, but also bent on precision AND incredible reflexes and speed.

      @MrDarkknight2011 Před rokem

    Just keep in mind that there's a difference between "punching fast" and "punching effectively". Super-fast punches like this are largely just a matter of showing off - they're not actually effective punches (Which DK Yoo could out the first time in his life he got into a real fight and Bradley Scott - who turned up jetlagged and hungover - made him look like an idiot). They look good on camera and during demos, but they don't necessarily equate to effectiveness. It's the martial arts equivalent of a trick shot in snooker. The best trick shooter in the world isn't necessarily the best snooker player. And I think it's kind of telling that with the exception of the Jet and Trusov, the people on this list have no legitimate fighting experience to speak of (DK Yoo's fighting experience consists of getting punched around the ring, and hugging a man for three quarters of the fight).
    Watch any boxer worth their salt working a speed bag, and they'll be doing punches at insane speeds. But they don't punch like that in fights; there's a reason for that. Even Trusov wouldn't punch like that in fights, even though he's got a world record for punching fast.

In the 90s he then hospitalized 8 guys that were harassing his then-gf at a club, bcos they followed them after they left the club as well. He was detained by the police until they cleared things up.
      His career also took a hit as a result if I remember correctly, which then got a boost thanks to Jet Li including Donnie Yen in the 2002 wuxia epic, Hero.

      It doesn't.
      "In the 90s he then hospitalized 8 guys that were harassing his then-gf at a club"

As I stood in front of him, watching him intently, he punched to my face. I NEVER SAW HIM MOVE !! One second his fist was at his hip, then it was an inch from my face.
