You sound dumb. You realize it wasn't the diff. It was the coupling mechanism that's there to disconnect the front axle to save fuel. They break all the time on chevys. It's not in the diff. It's a shaft that bolts on to the passenger side. They can be changed fairly easily.

Nothing but good things to say about the sport: fun to drive around town and I've put it in some interesting offroad situations and it has excelled. We get more comments on the robin's egg sport in a day than we do on the cactus big bronco in a month. If we had to keep one, it would be the sport. The big Bronco is a big fun toy - love everything about it. Non-sasquatch Black Diamond with the soft top was everything I needed and it was under 50k.

I bought the first badlands model in my region in December of 2020 as a downsize from my 13 Flex (which was an awesome vehicle).
I’ve had no mechanical issues and total reliability since. I even dropped it in a 2 ft hole while on a trail and it walked out with just a tear in the front bumper. It has 78,000 kms on the clock now.

Nathan, I have a 2022 Bronco Sport Badlands that I striped up Freewheelin' style. Last April I stopped by the ranch on our way to Alaska to run the obstacle course. After that we went to Moab for a week of off-roading. The only limiting factor is ground clearance, not traction. I only had to lock the rear diff a few times, and it did the job flawlessly. Yes, I wish it towed more, but our travel trailer is under 2,000lbs so it works for us. I had considered a full size but at the time I was in the market it was still about a 2 year wait if ordered and dealers were still charging a "market adjustment of 10 to 30 k on in-stock ones. I was lucky to find mine with the equipment and color I wanted a little below sticker.

i went from the jeep JL to the bronco badlands. stock for stock the bronco doesn't flex quite as much BUT... what it lacks in flex it makes up for in everything else comfort wise. not only can i got 80 down the highway without swerving all over from a solid axle tracking like a hammered dog turd, i can offroad everything i've asked it to with just minimal intervention from a rear locker if the tire floats too much. I'm extremely happy with the move I made! I've also just jumped up to a BDS suspension so my flex should be notably better this coming summer's wheeling season.

Nathan in March 2021 when I couldn’t find a Badlands I bought a Ford bronco sport three cylinder with the fully loaded outer Banks package the first few trips were just shakedown runs to check tire and wheel clearance as I had fitted wider taller all-terrain tires along the Oregon coast where I’m from. it’s first major road trip was to Overland expo West in Flagstaff Arizona. now I never had a check engine light, I never had any issues and it went everywhere I wanted to go including a trip through the Grand Canyon, but somewhere along the route back, the water pump gave out and started leaking now I made it back without any issues, check engine lights, or abnormal temps. When I made it back, I went to do an oil change and noticed my coolant level was very low and so I had to call the dealer in and they had the vehicle for four months waiting for a part. Other than that issue, I had zero problems with the Broncos sport until the water pump. After they repaired the water pump, my gas mileage dropped down to 21 miles per gallon; so when a deer and the Broncos sport had a fight over who occupied what portion of the road I traded in on the Jeep grand Cherokee. I still follow a ton of bronco sport owners as I was an early adopter, and the three cylinder version is highly capable Offroad. I never had a problem anywhere in Oregon and the trails I did try in Arizona and Nevada. New Mexico were not a problem. I think for the\is use case the Broncos sport is an excellent option.

I towed a new camp tag XL trailer for about 450 miles one weekend with my Broncos sport Outer Banks with the three cylinder without any issues at all. Now that is an extremely lightweight trailer and it was on the limit of the towing capacity of the bronco sport but it did do it and there are many options for trailers, both utility and camper that are a lot lighter than that. There are camp trailers out there that way less than 1000 pounds, and utility trailers that weigh less than 400 pounds so it’s still very practical as Nathan has said.

My wife loves her little heratige. Its only the 1.5, and compared to my truck.... I mean there really isn't a comparison the capalities between a Bronco Sport and a Duramax when you live in the country. But in all honesty, for being a grocery getter, picking up the kids from school, taking it into town, and like shown in the video, very moderate "off road" use like taking it to the pond, down non-graveled trails, to go fishing it does well. My wife is 5'3" and loves how easy it is to throw a kyak on top. A little slow, sure, but overall, a great little car, with a good feature set of creature comforts, and a killer price compared to the rest of the market.

My 2021 bronco sport, Outer Banks had the leather interior package also in brown slightly different seat inserts and also had leather steering wheel heated and cool seats pretty much every option available and they have the entire safety suite that the car would drive itself all the way through Utah on the highway coming back from Overland expo. Like I said, even the three cylinder models are extremely capable and I’ve got hundreds of videos and photos on my social media presence to verify that. You also have to remember that this vehicle is built on the new generation Ford focus platform, which is also shared with the new escape. I think they did a extremely good job of styling the interior and the exterior based on the platform choice. It’s a little sparse, but it has everything you need and nothing you don’t, it’s also exceptionally easy to clean and for those pets or kids that’s an important factor and spend the extra money get the rubber floor mats.

In regard to the suspension, even though I was sent one of the original Ford bronco lift kits, I never installed it because the bronco suspension is tuned to feel like a full-size truck with a body on frame. Therefore, it’s got some side to side rock which I did not like, I had planned to tune that out with a shock and strut change, but never got to it.

i was always skeptical of the bronco sport. My dad got a used 22 Badlands and its really a sweet little unit. Way more capable than you'd think. He put some Falken AT on it and that little sucker will really go through some stuff. Im hoping Toyota brings out the small FJ Land Cruiser as after driving his, Im really in love with reasonably sized offroaders again. Subaru with the CVT is a non starter for me. The 10 speed trans, torque, and diff lock makes it super fun.

I totally agree. I had a full size as well as a heritage limited currently but with the peak blue which is the darker blue color and while they were both wonderful I would say for 90% of people unless you need to do serious off-roading and you need that ground clearance. The broncos sport will do it. Now. What I recommend is don't get the three cylinder. All you need is the Badlands base model. No options. It's still comes with power. Pretty much everything. You just don't get leather. The wireless phone charger is a piece of crap anyways and it'll take most people just about anywhere they want to go and I have averaged 26 mph with doing probably 70% highway driving and the engine is just so torqy for a little car. It's effortless to drive and it really does do everything well except like he said it doesn't tow much and the back seat is made for people without legs. The only things I wish it had was 360 camera and air conditioning seats Also when you get the Badlands with the 2 l and the extra off-road stuff everything that comes on it has already been proven in other cars for years. The two leaders been around since 2013. The only issue it really had was the wastegay linkage on the turbo which has been fixed. The transmission has been used since 2017. I believe the trick rear differential was used in the focus. RS. All-wheel drive system has been used for over a decade. The frame is still the escape frame it's been used for like over in a decade just slightly modified. I just hit 20,000 my heritage limited and have had zero issues knock on wood. And they have increased the capacity of the PTU and on some models added a cooler which it desperately needed. Those PTUs were failing on those all-wheel drive systems in the early ones because they didn't have enough fluid and they would overheat really easy and coke up and Ford was saying only change him like every 50 or 60 thousand miles I think which was not enough. I do mine every 30
