    I am hugely bullish on exploring and learning than degrees. Competitive exams such as CAT/GMAT play a role but not everyone is lucky to crack them. That's why we started GGI MBA (Alternative to Int'l MBA) to improve your profile to build your career in management consulting and public policy- these are the 2 roles I played myself in my 20s, which gave me immense skills and money.
    At GGI MBA, we provide employment support, CEOs come to teach live and interact across 9 masterclasses over 6 months, you get to learn interview prep through in house schrodinger, get buddies mapped and you join a diverse community from US, London, India, Paris.
    Eligibility is above age of 18 and below 34 as we are mission is for young professionals and women to start having a seat on the table in strategy and policy roles.
    Good luck. Look forward to meeting you all in the upcoming cohort launch.

    Majority of top indian MBAs come from an engineering background. That’s because engineers have an edge when it comes to calculative ability which helps them ace entrances. And since selection is purely score-based, half of the aspirants don’t have a chance from the very get-go. Which makes studying abroad the option. Trust me, increase the diversity and the number of quality institutes and automatically brain drain will reduce

    Hi, thank you for sharing this. I do have a point to mention- you said that look for top 30 financial time rankings for MBA but don't you think that going to a top school region wise is equally beneficial? For eg ESCP business school comes under top 30 in the latest ft mba 2024 rankings but when you look top b-schools in Europe- INSEAD, LBS, HEC Paris dominate and ESCP is way behind- same goes for something like Rotman School of Management-University of Toronto which is the best business school in Canada but globally it ranks behind ECSP. Can you comment which approach is better here since FT rankings are sometimes not the best indicator to pick a school?

      Good perspective. Depends on your career goals also.
      Typically, hard thing to do abroad is to change geography post MBA. However hardest to do is to change geography and sector both. You do an MBA to pivot sectors. And typically Indians find hard to pivot both for below FT 30 schools. I am sure there are outliers to it !

    I have been working in the tech industry for more than a decade, and I have heard it many times from the CEOs and business owners that, Nothing would happen to India and the world if no more management degree holders are produced from any business school of the world, henceforth.
    Any educated 12th graduate human can do the work done by 99.99999% of the MBA degree holders on Earth, with 3-5 weeks of training.

      Very few do it. We have had 15+ folks from ISB and IIM Ahmedabad. I rather would recommend doing GGI as pre MBA. Dont recommend doing it along with your MBA. It will be hectic.

    But Satakashi none of the IIMs or the ISB is ranked under 30 in the FT rankings. So this under 30 rule applies only for abroad colleges?

    • @Shatakshi.Sharma
      @Shatakshi.Sharma  Před 5 měsíci +2

      ISB has moved between FT 10 to FT 40- so its in range. Im sorry Im not huge fan of IIMs, indeed they are good placement agency but thats it. They are placement agencies. Their teaching pedagogy, class diversity, average work ex of class is extremely archaic. I know its controversial view. But thats my view.

    Even MBA don't guarantee Jobs with high Package
    So decided to get work Ex. 1st then later decide to do MBA so to get chance of getting more better roles.
