I think the idea of the shears being that reason for a second rift is actually a cool idea and pretty plausible. Whatever the real reason turns out to be, I'm excited for it.
I think shears will be used to harvest plant leaves to temporarily make a healing herb that heals max 25 hp each leaf usage but will also be used to open chests covered in vines. The same goes for doors.
the vine door can't just be a buff. it can't be. it has to be a sub-level. first off, you have to beat floor one and go in floor two. then, find shears in floor two. go all the way and beat floor two with those shears and put it in the rift (assuming the rift is at the end of floor two.). then go back all the way to floor one, get the shears and go in the end of floor one, IN ONE GO so you don't lose your shears. thats a lot of work for just a buff. it has to be a sub-level.
I think that when we get shears in floor 2, then put it in Rift, go back to floor 1 and cut the vines from the door that is actually a shortcut to go to the mines
I've seen this idea and I agree, but I can't be "just shortcut" it will go with altering story. Which means maybe Mines will have their "Backdoor-like subfloor" and that's the way we can enter it?
Shouldn't it be floor 0 as it is in the basement? Also, the tablet will be replaced in the mines update. So i dont know what will happen if someone put it in the rift. Maybe you could obtain it by getting it from the right? No idea, time will tell They released a leak for animations in floor 2. So they could have inside the leak the shear animkations too.
Floors in Doors aren't literal Floors, they are more like Levels/Chapters. But just in case. How do you know The Hotel is not smth like Floor 3? Nothing in game says it's First floor of the building
Why would you do that? Puting Tablet in Rift was supposed to be case for a trophy, or eventually keep it for future when it gets a purpose. What's the point of filling both rifts with it?

i feel that shears will also function like keys. i think that vines will cover some doors and that you need to find the shears to open the door

or permanent buff. We're going to alternate timeline/story. Which means it might be permanent. Or maybe achievement relevant in the future.
