- UPDATE 8/17/17: WOW, all I can say is just, WOW, this is probably my most successful video, yes, even more successful than my Vipid videos
I Have A Netflix Print Of Charlotte's Web. So I Uploaded It With The Yellow Closed Captions
In loving memory of Henry Gibson and Debbie Reynolds, two fantastic actors of their time.
I love how Fern isn’t finding it at least bit odd that they’re animals singing right in front of her 😌
That’s because this whole thing is in her head
Maybe Fern has a gift that lets her talk to animals.
She just hears animal sounds.
@@carleespindler3177 like doc Doolittle
I like to think that in this world, animals can only understand other animals. Maybe she didn't hear them singing the actual song
I totally agree with this song. Its not whats on the outside that counts, everything tastes good once its grilled up
Way to kill the mood there 😂
Spider and Horse even? 🤔
I just get so emotional with this song. They are saying so litte but the lyrics say a lot and it just hits you and you start thinking bout things. ☺️
Rachael Young *little
True I cried at the end of the movie 😭
Thank you Sherman Brothers for writing this fantastic song.
Agreed. Glad to have a grandfather who was able to be in a film with them.
They were famous for Disney music and songs!
I love The Sherman Brothers
This cartoon is ten time better than the recent movie. Even with the singing and dancing. I don;t even like singing and dancing but this was good
Templeton: You're a gosling and I'm a rat, but our friendship is where it's at.
Because we've got lots in common where it really counts.
Where it really counts we've got large amounts.
What we look like doesn't count an ounce.
We've got lots in common where it really counts.
Awwwww😂
This song sreves as a great lesson of accepting one another for whom We are!!!!
No matter what ball game We're playin', We live and breathe the same air!!!!
Champ675 *serves
How is Fern just siting there like "Yeah animals sing and dance everyday and I'm totally oblivious to the fact that that's not normal."
She can understand them. She's like Dr. Dolittle. XD
amaya papaya The best fucken comment EVER! LMAO!
I'm dying! 🤣
In the novel, she is privy to all the animals' dialogue. No musical numbers, but that addition is probably why E.B. White did not like this adaptation.
Amaya Levens fern is high off dat shit
Amaya Levens She understands animals like Eliza, Diego and Sofia, duh
R.I.P Debbie Reynolds voice of Charlotte 1932-2016 you will be missed

And Henry Gibson, the voice of Wilbur.
I remember this! After we read the book in second grade all the other kids wanted to watch the 2006 live action one but they were upset that I chose this one. One of the kids even said "I wanted to watch it in colour!" Then they watched the 1973 version and turns out they liked it! Can't beat the classics ;)
elsa1942 That’s for sure! This is so much better than the live action
Both films are in color.
I watched this in second or third grade too :)
Electric ⚡️
I love how they assumed it would be in black and white just because it's old. That takes me back to being a kid, and being surprised that _Mary Poppins_ was so old despite being in colour.
This was my childhood along with many Disney films and to learn that the Sherman brothers wrote the songs for this film as well just makes me so happy!!
I love this movie, and Disney too
"We've got lots in common where it really counts." This can be said about animals and humans. :) I think these types of movies made me vegetarian, I just didn't know it yet. :)
Me too :) I'm vegan now. Thanks Charlotte and co. :)
Same here :) I'm vegan now :)
They sounded so amazing singing all together , thumbs up if you still love it and like watching it
My favorite songs in this movies: We’ve got lots in common, Deep in the Dark, There must be something more. And Chin Up
We had this movie on video cassette. Watched this all the time when I was little. :)
Same here
I love this movie but its so sad to me I cryed at the end cause charlottes my favorite character ;(
GLO-RIG *it's *cried
It actually has a happy ending with Wilbur realizing that NOT ALL of Charlotte's children deserted him,and so her three other daughters Joy,Aranea and Nellie all get to take their deceased mother's place by befriending him. Still, it is also sad when most of her children hatch in the spring and leave him as they "go off into the world to make their own webs,"which affects him so badly he threatens to leave, telling the old sheep,"I can't take it anymore; this place is too full of memories, first with Charlotte's passing and now this,"until the old sheep tells him,"Well, look over there-not ALL of the baby spiders are gone, there are three who apparently couldn't fly away,"Joy,Aranea and Nellie, again. Yes, as it says in the book at the very end,"he was never without friends,"even if Fern no longer came to visit him as she was growing up and "careful to avoid such childish things like sitting on a milkstool near a pigpen,"plus now with her new interest in Henry Fussy. "Fine swine,Zuckerman's famous pig."
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 In the book, Wilbur doesn't threaten to run away, and he doesn't meet Joy, Arania, and Nelly until the morning after the other baby spiders have left.
Same
What about Jeffrey?
This movie needs a Blu-ray release ASAP.

Oh my gosh! Such nostalgia! I haven't watched this scene since I was like 4 years old or something, but it has always stayed with me and I haven't found and watched it again until now! Thank you SO much for uploading this!!! :D
All the racists need to hear this
Exactly!
Man, you gotta love the Sherman Brothers
Andy Kim In addition to "Charlotte's Web," the Sherman Brothers also wrote the music for, among other things, Walt Disney's version of "Mary Poppins" (1964), starring Julie Andrews, for "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1967), with Dick Van Dyke (who was also in "Mary Poppins"), for "Snoopy, Come Home" (1971), which is based on the "Peanuts" comic strip, and for a Broadway musical called "Over Here" (1974), starring the famous Andrews Sisters, Patty and Maxine (the third sister, Laverne, died in 1967). The show was a parody of movie musicals of the World War Two era (the title of the play itself is, of course, a spoof of George M. Cohan's famous World War One song, "Over There"). My mother saw this show along with some friends. What she remembered most about it was this one young man who was one of the extras. According to mom, this fellow kept showing off and upstaging everybody. "That young man is going to be a star one day" she said. A few years later, he did become a star after appearing in a certain television sitcom called "Welcome Back, Kotter" and later in a little film entitled "Saturday Night Fever." His name: John Travolta.
"Over Here" revived interest in the "boogie woogie" music of the 1940s, and this, no doubt, is what inspired singer Bette Midler to record a remake of the Andrews Sisters' classic W.W.2 song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy of Company B," which they first sang in the comedy movie "Buck Privates" (1941), starring Abbott and Costello.
I recently saw a television documentary about the Sherman Brothers on P.B.S. It seems they also wrote the music for another Disney movie, "The Jungle Book" (1967), as well as some of the tunes that were sung (and no doubt are still being sung today) by the animatronic characters at Disneyland.
Here's something interesting. The Shermans' father, Al Sherman, was a songwriter too. Among other things, he wrote a song about Charles Lindbergh entitled "Lindbergh: The Eagle Of The U.S.A." I heard this song on a record album I borrowed from the library (when I was living in Yonkers, NY) which contained some old tunes from the 1910-1929 period.
The song was also played during the opening credits for a 1976 Made-For-TV docudrama about "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case," in which Cliff DeYoung played Lindbergh and Anthony Hopkins appeared as the alleged kidnapper, Bruno Richard Hauptmann. Hopkins won an Emmy Award for that role.
The sad part is that everyone forget this. There is no real big difference between us. Only our selfishness that separates us. In other words stop think your better than everyone else .
*you're
Karen, you hit the nail Ron the nose. I think it’s time we all slowed it down a bit and really began to look at ourselves. I tell this to students who are going through to be support workers for people like me who have autism and mild cerebral palsy and other high school and public school students, “You accept others and others will accept you”. This plays in perfectly
Everyone didn't forget this, but far too many people did and so many have yet to realize the truth that this song conveys.
The music producer and my "I fucken hate racism" passion want to sample this for a dope ass song.
This movie has a lot of great music in it.
I'm watching it now. Lol! Crazy nobody has yet to sample any of this movie.
1:34 found it funny how the calf bobs his head to the music.
I find it funny that Fern doesn’t seem to be seeing the animals sing and dance. Maybe to her the animals are just being weirdly noisy lol
Marielle Hilversum she can understand them like dr dolittle that’s why she knows their names and everything they say and do
Fern understands animals
nope she's nodding her head along - she's a part of the rhythm of nature - she feels deeply connected to all life

Jeffrey does not say quack. He's a goose, not a duck. He says honk.
Maybe the horse that sang that line couldn't easily tell if he was a duck or a goose
musicbox193 A similar mistake appeared in the trailer for this film (which is also available on CZcams) in which the narrator refers to Jeffrey as "a tiny duckling," which is a baby duck, even though Jeffrey is a gosling, or baby goose.
Point acknowledged, but people often mistake ducks and geese, unfortunately.
Exactly but in the time this movie came out I don't think they knew that yet.
The book was written years before the movie and mentioned both the Goose and her Gander husband prominently.
R.I.P. Debbie Reynolds.
And Henry Gibson.
this is easily my favorite song in the whole movie
I love charlottes web so much! But when I was little, I was a huge charlottes web fan!😍😊
R.I.P Henry Gibson.
This is my childhood movie from the 70s although I’m born on December 23rd, 1999
Isn’t the gosling CUUUTE?! 😍 such a poignant song.
I can't watch this...saw it when I kid...broke my heart then...it'll do it again
One Of My Favorite Songs In The Movie
Absolutely love this movie thanks for the lyrics!
You may recall 8 1/2 years ago when the live-action version came out.
You 5can I don't think I would say that he has no intention for his second 9year
The hen chorus is always my favorite hahaha
I am part of this film's cult following! I love it so much!
I just love This charlottes web movie when I was a child
It’s been so many years since I watched this last. But I feel like these days especially people should be reminded about this song.
Me as a 7 year old kid in 1999/2000. "Can that girl actually hear what he's singing?". The way he was dancing with his legs and she swinging her head left and right made me wonder.
The lyrics to this song are so deep and meaningful.
This reminds me of Who Framed Roger Rabbit Finale: Toon Chorus sings “Smile, Darn Ya, Smile”
How did people become racist when we have this movie around? They should all listen to this song!
I've watched it thousands of times since i was just a baby until my VHS broke 6 years ago, and even if i hadn't watched it again until just last month, I never forgot this song.
We all got lots in common where it really counts ~
+SkyrieWarriorStella You're telling me, and honestly I have no idea how to answer that question. I grew up on this song, and Sesame Street. I believe that we have to be aware of the judgments we make and pave over them with kindness.
SkyrieWarriorStella
SkyrieWarriorStella Racism shouldn't have even came about in my opinion, everyone should be treated equal.

And remember this song when I was a little kid
This is my favorite movie man, i've watched it over 50 times
poor Debbie Reynolds. RIP
I enjoyed singing along to that... Thanks! :D
That was a beautiful classic. I'm grateful I watched Charlotte's Web.
My Favorite song in the movie
That's Jeffery. He takes from my side of the family-amily.
TheOddSusie Ironically, in the book, Jeffery was only referred to, but hardly played any part in the story.
It's the same way with Fern's boyfriend, Henry Fussy; unlike in this film, he's only mentioned several times in the book, but is never actually shown.
Very catchy
I love how at 1:55 the chicken's march
Lol! Right at 1:56 where the chickens come out in front of them and start dancing, that's funny the way they're dancing like that.
They are Wilbur's chorus line.
The book was banned in America because it is considered blasphemous for animals to talk. I've been sharing clips of from the movie all morning with messages like "This is blasphemy!" "Don't watch this movie or you will burn in Hell!" and my followers think its hilarious. In seriousness though, the goddamn Holocaust was blasphemy if there ever was blasphemy. Charlotte's Web is a children's story, but apparently since humans are the greatest of all lifeforms, they're the only kind who should talk in works of art, so the book is considered blasphemous.
Okay that is the funniest thing I've heard all afternoon.
That's bullshit. It's fiction, you tell whatever story you want.
That lil gosling so brave to have a spider on his beak, i'd poop my pants
Charlotte reminds me of Joy in Inside Out, blue hair and all
I like how Disney-esque the hens sound at 2:36, those high twiddly voices.
I loved this movie when I was little.
It’s the duckie herkie at the end for me 🤣💓 oh thank u so much for posting this!!!
The memories and rest in peace to Henry Gibson, Paul Lynde, and Debbie Reynolds.

What the hell are you talking about? This is probably the third or fourth comment you've posted that's nothing but a lot of gibberish and meaningless rambling. I can't make heads or tails of what you're trying to tell us.
In any case, what do your babblings have to do with this film clip from "Charlotte's Web," or the song that's being sung?
Again, I ask you, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? 😳😲😠🤬😤
People are so stupid. Prejudice is so wrong and even the little cartoon animals know it. We should all love each other and respect each others humanity because we are all the same "where it really counts"!
True! Giving a good example: A yellew female and black male Labrador Retriever dog mates, the result is mother doggie gives birth to twelve puppies. 6 are black and 6 are yellow. Prejudice is rotten and wrong. The human race despite of one's genetic pool such as Caucasian or otherwise has a lot in common because we're all related to Adam and Eve. This song brings out that all living creation have a lot in common and similarities. Our creator Jehovah God at Psalm 83:18, Exodus 6:3.
King Triton from The Little Mermaid is prejudiced against all mankind yet no one is mad at him for that.
when Wilbur was a runt he was way cuter.👼
He was always cute
I loved this movie
I remember watching the movie once in elementry school when I was in 4th grade after reading the book!
1:35 hello Mrs dolittle
0:15
ah I remember that book
But it does seem that the other children who were in his mind were a year 9older with his own house
Ah I remember that book too
childhood memories...
Ah, nostalgia.
I'ma sing this to my friend proving we've got lots in common! (Except I'ma change the lyrics a little bit)
This song is all about genetics and evolutionary theory. A fun song that is also very scientific
This is such a wonderfully delightfully pleasant movie! There's nothing to hate about it!
Except E.B. White. He actually hated this animated adaptation.
The Ending Picture XD Geoffrey Don't Hit Ur Butt Too Hard :3
It’s hard to believe E.B White hated this film because of the musical numbers
It was the same way with P.J. Travers, the author of "Mary Poppins." She was against the idea of Walt Disney turning her book into a movie because she wasn't too fond of animation and "whimsy," but eventually, Disney won her over, as we learned from the recent film "Saving Mr. Banks" with Tom Hanks as Disney. Significantly enough, Disney wanted to make his own version of "Charlotte's Web," but E.B. White wouldn't allow it.
Michael Palmieri it also applies to Stephen King, whose least favorite is The Shining
@@alvaroperez2349
Oh yeah, that's where Jack Nicolson says "Heeerrree's Johnny!"
Or like how Roald Dahl hated the _Willy Wonka_ movie.
Fern doesn’t look the slightest bit impressed. This is just a daily occurrence in her life.
Charlotte’s web 1973 is a fun movie from fox pictures.
This movie is simple yet brilliant
I mom bought this VHS from McDonald's back in the day. I don't remember but I remember asking her why the McDonald's logo was on the movie. This was one her fav movies when she was a kid and wanted us to love it to. Ever since I seen this movie I've always wanted a pig.
Lol I luv this song
Contuine Thank God for our daily foods.
I like that song
Has anyone ever really listened to this song? Listen to what the cow sings at 1:08. I've been watching this movie since I was a little girl and just now noticed this. It's depressing really 😞
This was my childhood I even owned the video
2:38 I think the colt might be having a seizure .....

The most common is that a lot of these animals go good with potatoes and gravy
I love it when the chickens strutted in!
Doce fern know about that they can talk??? Just wondering ;)

Okay I realize I owe an explanation for my comment several years back. It's not the message that I don't like, it's the fact that it's being delivered through a song in the first place. I'm sorry, but I'm not a huge fan of musicals.
I don't know about you, but I LOVE musicals, including this movie! 👏🥰🤩❤️🎼🎵🎶📽️🔊🕷️🕸️🐷👩🌾
I added that farm girl emoji because she has dark hair like Fern, who grew up on a farm. The other emojis are, of course, self-explanatory.
If I didn't hold this movie in a special place in my heart that only few go, I would think this was the corniest thing I've ever heard.

2:39 the expression on that pony’s face looks like he just passed out
This song was obviously inspired by the Civil Rights Movement.
