I'm so glad you liked this!!! Just a fun fact, Taylor's lead guitarist is called Paul Sidoti and has been playing with her at almost every show since 2006 when she started out!!! This was just a version of the song for the tour that isn't available on streaming, it's normally much more pop. The "we" is generally accepted to be the same guy as all too well, Jakey G himself 👀

It's said that she wrote this (original pop version) because Jake Gyllenhaal (👿) has said he didn't like pop music, so she wrote the most annoyingly pop song she could, knowing that he would have to hear it everywhere. I do love me some petty Taylor. 🤣🤣

Whenever I watch this, that crowd gets me EVERY time... instant tears. And YES that's the thing about Taylor... she sounds amazing live. People used to say she was lip syncing but NOPE
This performance is what cemented me as a lifelong fan. Her band is phenomenal. Backup singers are also top tier. But it truly shows her musical prowess and every time she announces a new album, I hope that it's a rock album.
Omg when I tell you I clicked SO fast when I saw you uploaded this. This is the reason Swifties are literally shrieking for Tayor to do a rock album. She is so overwhelmingly versatile it is hard to even process. She has said she makes her songs with the story and meaning in mind, so that she always can do whatever production she wants over it and have it be a song her fans love. Aside from being such a great performer and lyricist, she is undeniably clever.
If you want to see more of Taylor playing the guitar, maybe try her NPR tiny desk concert performance of Death By A Thousand Cuts or her City of Lover performance of Cornelia Street.
Know this, if Swifties are asking you to do a different version, it means yes it is different. Now check out the rock version of "I Knew You Were Trouble" from the same tour (but no guitar) but it is still awesome. Super great reaction.

Her live performance of False God at SNL is so good and worth a watch! It has a saxophone solo (SNL has such a good saxophone player so he shines in it) and the whole song is so jazzy and smooth
If you loved that SNL performance lookup a sax player by the name of Brendan Ross. He has done instrumental covers of several Taylor songs and they are all stunning

Taylor was in the studio working on a song with her producer friends Jack and Aaron. When suddenly one of the workers jumped in to inform Taylor that Gyllenhaal was sending her another message. That's when she got upset "No! We're never ever getting back together" and she started working on that song instead. They finished it shortly afterwards

Definitely check out "Haunted" performed live from her Speak Now Tour...it is amazing and will spotlight how much thought she put into her tours even when she was much younger, and it gives the same rock feel.

This is definitely a whole reimagining. I've never heard it before so I'm guessing it's just for the tour. There's a whole spoken word bridge she cut out of this version so I definitely recommend looking up Taylor's Version (either on your own time or as like a comparison reaction) to hear how it normally is.
Go back & watch the original version so you'll have something to compare it to. Both are killer.
I’d love you to react to dear John from speak now and then would’ve could’ve should’ve from midnights , both are about John Mayer who she has a brief “relationship” (aka grooming!) when she was 19 and he was 32. I’d recommend you listen to/watch videos from The Eras Tour, specifically the Reputation Era (mainly Ready For It & Look What You Made Me Do), august/illicit affairs mashup from Folklore, and Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me? from the TTPD era! I think you’ll like all of those, as they’re very emotionally charged and are very hype!
The original version is produced in a more pop style and was a big radio hit-the video is really cool though because it was shot in one single steady cam shot, no cuts!!
