ABOUT:🔻
Robert William Gary Moore (4 April 1952 - 6 February 2011) was a Northern Irish musician. Over the course of his career he played in various groups and performed a range of music including blues, blues rock, hard rock, heavy metal, and jazz fusion.
Influenced by Peter Green and Eric Clapton, Moore began his career in the late 1960s when he joined Skid Row, with whom he released two albums. After Moore left the group he joined Thin Lizzy, featuring his former Skid Row bandmate and frequent collaborator Phil Lynott. Moore began his solo career in the 1970s and achieved major success with 1979's "Parisienne Walkways", which is considered his signature song. During the 1980s, Moore transitioned into playing hard rock and heavy metal with varying degrees of international success. In 1990, he returned to his roots with Still Got the Blues, which became the most successful album of his career. Moore continued to release new music throughout his later career, collaborating with other artists from time to time. Moore died on 6 February 2011 from a heart attack while on holiday in Spain.

• Gary Moore - The Messi...
copyright: Gary Moore
In remembrance to one of my all time guitar heroes, who sadly passed away a year ago today. This remains one of my favourite performances by him and I can still remember buying the original version, written and recorded by Roy Buchanan, when I was still a 15 year old boy and starting out learning to play the guitar.
This performance was recorded at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1990 - a venue he revisited a number of times through the years.
Gary, you are sadly missed.

Always enjoyable to watch a young person appreciating the master!
Thankies 🥰
I have been a musician (bass) for over 60 years and I've heard many of the greats live including Jimi Hendrix, BB King, Jeff Beck, Ted Nugent and many more and IMHO Gary Moore is the greatest guitar player that ever lived. And this IMHO, is the greatest guitar performance ever recorded, hands down! Every note he chooses is perfection, and every technique is flawlessly performed with taste and grace. God Bless Gary Moore RIP, brother.
Amazing 🤩 🤘🔥🤘
Best performance ever for me the master 🙏🎼
@@craigreid7178 I agree and yet don't; for me it's always sliding between GM and SRV. There's also NO doubting Hendrix is a massive influence and creator, but I genuinely believe he is overrated as an actual player.
@@paulncott4587 Yes, SRV is a monster player and deserves high ranking but IMHO GM has more skill, mastery and passion in his playing - agree to disagree.
The greatest guitarist that ever walked this earth! Nobody and I mean nobody played with so much passion and feeling. I was fortunate enough to see Gary many many times and also to meet him personally. He is very very sadly missed.
R.I.P Maestro. 😊😎🎸🇬🇧🇺🇦
Amazing and what a legend , also agree!
It was May 1 1990 at the Concert Hall in my town and on stage was Gary Moore. This song was the last of several encores and what a finale! He played with so much emotion/feeling/passion and also with lots of improvisation and after that show i was like in seventh heaven or something! I met my cousin the other day who attended the same show and he had the same feeling after the show!
Amazing 🤩
I'm so glad that I got to see Gary live. He really was one of a kind and will never be emulated or forgotten. Thanks for this video.
Thankies and Awesome
The King of Kings; il capo di tutti capi: the best guitarist ever lived with his magnum opus; RIP Gary.
Whoop absolutely
The great Gary Moore knew how to make this song an unmatched masterpiece rip genius
Absolutely 🔥
Roy Buchanan wrote and recorded this song. Gary Moore idolized Roy as a hero and recorded The Messiah Will Come Again as a
tribute to him. Jeff Beck and many other guitarists (Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimmy Page) all consider Roy as 'The Master Of
The Telecaster' and was often referred to by that name.
Whoop 🙌
Wearing a Nightwish shirt, listening to Gary Moore. My musical faith in future generations restored.
Whoop 🙌
Gary is phenomenal!
He was!🔥 🥰
A tribute to the Great Roy Buchanan, the master of the Telecaster.
Whoop 🙌
THE BEST BLUES SOLO EVER
Whoop 🙌
Loved this, and nice to see a youngster's reaction. For me, the best guitarist.
Couldn't agree more! Whoop 🙌
Gary Moore is my biggest influence as a guitarist. Not so much his technique, which was devastating and which I could not possibly emulate, but for his tone and feel. So much soul and emotion in his playing.
Yes, Don Airey on keys! A legend himself.
The Les Paul he's playing here is itself famous... it's called 'Greeny', because it used to be owned by Peter Green of early Fleetwood Mac. Gary has to sell it because of financial difficulties (how sad is that!), and it is now in the hands of Kirk Hammett of Metallica, who does use it.
Whoop 🙌 so amazing 🎸
This is the best what Gary has played ever....a master piece.
All his techniques in 1 song...wow!
Whoop 🙌
What an incredible live performance 🔥🔥🔥🎸🎸🎸👏👏👏
Amazing 🤩
Recommended this ages ago. One of the greatest performance s ever
Thankies 🥰
Brian Downey has been the only drummer in Thin Lizzy. This performance was Graham Walker, I think.
Whoop 🙌
You should see the loner live in sweden 87 i think it is, there he shows once again why he was one of the best..I have not seen a reaction before on that version, so maybe you could be the first..😊
Whoop 🙌
Was at this show !
Whoop 🙌
❤🎉
New subscriber because you like Gary
Welcome to the Family 🫂
Hope you have listened to the Roy Buchanan version on a Telecaster -he wrote the song !
Whoop 🙌
Thanks for the reaction, you are great together! :)
What is the tree image/ blanket in the background? I need this for my bedroom, too!
Thankies 🥰🤘 it’s the tree of life ^^
@@DashyXDAndDadReacts Thanks! I found the same design via Google on Etsy, but this one is sold - probably to you. xD
I was hoping that it was artwork from something pop cultural, and I could get the same. I thought, it would look cool to have LEDs where the painted lights are. :)
Never mind, I’ll find something else/ similar. :)
@@3.kawesome 🥰🤗
Gary moore is greast of masters~
Whoop 🙌
Saw him 3 times, once with lizzy and twice by himself
Whoop 🙌
😅gary also played with don ariy in a band called coleseum two, a foray into progressive rock
Awesome 🤩
Awesome 🤩
I miss Gary. He died way too early. R.I.P.
To me he was one of the greatest guitarists ever and "Messiah" is my favorite song of his.
Also love it, when two generations have got the same musical taste. "Rock'n'Roll will never die" (Neil Young).
Great song choice, you two.
P.S.: A wish from me, though: On upcoming reaction videos, could you please increase the volume of the music-video and decrease the volume of your mics (except when pausing the music video). We love to hear your reactions, but we also (if not even a bit more) love to enjoy the music. ;-)
Thankies so much 🥰🤘🥰
🔥🎸🎸🎸🔥 awesome 😎
Rock on! 🤘
This is a song by Roy Buchanan
Whoop 🙌
Great video a great version of Roy Buchanan's song
Deffo thankies so much!
Master guitar irland Rip Gary 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Whoop
Fun fact. Gary was left handed but learned himself to play right handed. Because everybody else did. How cool is the thought hat his playing would be more impressive if he'd played left handed?
oh wowza amazing
I can’t imagine what Gary’s music might sound like if he’d played left-handed…where does a guy go when he’s already on top of the world?
Until next time Belli
Whoop 🙌
There are faster guitarists, more accurate/cleaner guitarists, maybe a few "better"guitarists.but there are none that can touch Gary for the way he makes you feel deep in your soul when he plays.the look on your face says it all.
Whoop 🙌
A lesson in lead guitar playing.
Whoop 🙌
yes he got badly damaged in his face, but imagine,he would have gotten this damage on his hands...
Aww 🥰
I neither remember the faces of the muscians but i think this guy at keyboards is too young to be Don Airey ,
Whoop 🙌
I think it is Airey. If so he's aged very well.
