Ive had lice soooo many times (once on Christmas) and usually the reason why parents can’t get rid of thier child’s lice is because they don’t treat it correctly. Every time I had it, my mom would spend hours in the morning and at night picking out the nits, among other things.

I live in Alaska. My little sister got lice and then gave it to me several years ago. Luckily it happened when we were having sub freezing temperatures so killing any of the critters that got on our furniture, bedding, my sisters stuffed animal collection, etc was made easier by us moving things outside for a couple of days. It must have worked because once they were gone from our heads they never returned

I had super lice. Got them from a kid at work. The product I used was a foam that was made to kill super lice along with super hot showers and daily combings.
That comb she used is called nitty gritty with that alone you can remove lice and nits your self.

A school nurse told me that the CDC said to coat the entire head in a thick hair cream, cover with a plastic shower cap for 8 to 10 hours then wash. Once nits or eggs are half an inch from the scalp they are dead. Place pillows in the dryer for 45 minutes. Just make sure to heavily coat the hair with a thick hair cream like VO5 or Brylcream.

When I was younger my mom used to use coconut oil, mayonnaise, listerine, tea tree oil, and soaking our heads with lice shampoo but now that I’m older and can take care of myself I use tea tree shampoo and it helps keep the stuff away I have really thick hair and it was a huge problem for me to get rid of it but on top of that I have dandruff so it just makes everything difficult

It’s takes minutes to go to the store, a couple more minutes to grease the hair, a few minutes to sit with the grease in the child’s hair, and a couple more minutes to wash the child’s hair. Does no one read?! Grease suffocates the lice. Grease their entire bodies if you have to (be careful around the eyes) but shaving a child’s head is extreme compared to the easy remedy.

Yeas, deffinetly mayo first suffocates live lice when generously applied, but use Listerine, or an alcohol-based mouthwash to kill the knits! I did this like 6 years ago in like 5th grade for a *2 year* on again off again case and it was the only way I got finally rid of them!

3: paraffin works to kill them
4: comb again
5:pour coke on hair
6:comb the rest out
7:if still there thin your hair out and give it a trim
Trust me 3 times of lice and you're 12 freaks you around people so remedies are the best
All you needed to do was use hair grease to suffocate them. Five minutes with your hair heavily greased under a shower cap, them shampoo would have done it.

Keep some oil in your hair all the time even if it's just naturally occurring oil and you can't do that if you wash your hair every single day. No one should be washing their hair everyday and if you're doing something that gets you that dirty then you need to think about removing your hair.

I’ve had lice for almost a year now and we just can’t get rid of them! Even through the cold winter I still had them. I’m going to try using lemon juice and letting it sit for 10-15 minutes then washing it out. Hopefully that will work. I haven’t tried shampoo but we’re trying the lemon thing first
Try Rosemarie repel if you have regular lice. It works great to PREVENT and GET RID of regular lice. It has Rosemarie in it so it works wonderful. I have dandruff and I hate it so much, head and shoulders didn't work and there's another shampoo that didn't work. A common way you get lice or dandruff is because of puberty.
Galaxy Ducks. Not true. Lice live in dryness. Has nothing to do with age nor hygiene. Just grease your hair if you have lice. The oil suffocates the lice. If you use regular oil, it drips. However, it does work.

Vinegar. Brush with a comb through the hair from the root, this get rid off eggs and nits.......then douse your hair in DAWN it has to be dawn...and it suffocates them.

When I was 7 my neighbors had some chickens next door that I would go over and look at and next day I knew I had lice. I didn't know why but my mom predicted that those chickens were never clean and their choops weren't clean either. They chickens eventually left their home due to not being allowed on a residential state but I'm happy I won't ever have to deal with that again.

Veggie oil, and plastic wrap rub it through your hair put plastic wrap on then a shower cap so you can set down your head leave infor at least two hous so watch a movie. Shower Then vinegar and mayo leave that in for a bit watch another movie or do what ever. Shower with tea tree shampoo and conditioner or you can use mint lice absolutely HATE tea tree and mint. So spray down you coats and wash them with mint and put them in plastic garbage bags for weeks and dry them in the dryer. Buy new combs and hair brushes or if on a budget soak in HOT water mixed with vinegar

Carmen .901. No Sweetie. Most black people need to add moisture to our heads. We use some type of moisturizer on a regular basis. I have to grease my hair every other day so it doesn’t dry and brittle to stop my hair from breaking. Lice or anything else die in those conditions thus they do not jump/get on most Black people. Think of the oil spills in the ocean that kill fish and birds. That oil is necessary for our hair. If you ever get lice again, just purchase a jar of hair grease, grease your hair generously. Sit under a shower cap or plastic bag for about five minutes to assist the grease in suffocating the lice. Then wash your hair. The few black people that get lice do not grease their hair because they’re mixed and produce enough oils. Any ‘oil’ works to suffocate the lice. I advocate hair grease because it’s thick so it will not drip and make a mess.
