Wasn't MBE still hitting 140 around 30hz with (4) 1506's? Otherwise, I have heard the same about 8s having a better low end extension over 6.5's. It's a tough call Maybe chat with MBE when the time comes and he'll set you straight on which way to go. I look forward to MBE doing more content with 6.5s even though I listen to different music and probably need a different box than he typically makes
Hopefully we get a update on this.. I’m running 2 of the team 8’s and I’m not a fan of the direct speaker leads either, I had to be extremely careful when lowering the subs into the box to keep from damaging the direct leads on them..
Just like the old kicker q class great sub but it’s power rating(rms) is low compared to that g7 at 1250 per sub.Dd is the same way compared to the g7 which I know the Dd will take more than what’s recommended.

And I love that set up to death but now with this car, I don’t know if I want to go so crazy just have a great sounding system that nobody would expect to come out of that car.
MBE, Do you think that the RF T2500bdcp is strong enough to push 2 DD 9512k's supercharged? I was looking at a Crescendo Bass Clef 4k as an alternative. Any suggestions? I have Mechman 370 alt & 2 XS Power Titan lithiums under the hood. My voltage wont drop below 14 with the T2500bdcp and T600-4. I think i need more amp. I just upgraded to 9500 12s from 700 Redline(going in my wifes car).
I'm sure they can take more power.. but I doubt it's absolutely needed.. yhe crescendo is a decent amp as well.. but I doubt it's gonna do alot more.. especially with rise . Just my opinion.
@@matthewguynn2336 I was kinda thinking the same. I doubt if I would be able to hear any difference. The subs are also still breaking in. They're still very, very stiff.
@@darrianbenjamin7292 the gift of the Rockford is the Sq , the damping, and the constant power technology.. not that it will always do the same with ohm rise.. BUT it will perform excellent.. I own several amps and not many compare to Rockford . I'm pretty positive I've seen the gutshot of crescendo and it's same build house as the dc audio. So not a bad amp. But no way I'd trade it for the bdcp. Jmop
@matthewguynn2336 I love my amp. I may just get another one and strap them together or put one on each speaker. I went from a JL Slash 1200 to my T2500. I think my old JL 300/4 sounds better than my T600-4 amp. The bass amp is no competition though.
Idk 8’s are 8’s, kinda like calling a chihuahua Godzilla or King Kong, they loud and they bite but they still some little dogs and doesn’t deserve the right to be called those names lol, time to grow up and play wit the big boys in my opinion
You’re aware of the entire point of his channel is right? Get excellent bass output… while retaining factory seats and creature comforts and not hacking the truck apart just to make some speakers fit.
