You are not alone. The community of black mermaids is definitely under represented especially in the professional sphere. There is an afro mermaid conference annually (i think) and plenty of creators, professionals, and hobbiest mers on Instagram.

How do you like the 2XL? I have almost the same measurements as you, but usually wear just XL in the regular (Mermaiden/Limited Edition tails), and I thought you did (or maybe even a large), too. What made you go a size up for the Elite? Is it less stretchy?
I have to update my measurements I am a bit bigger this year. It is just as stretchy if not a bit more than previous tails. I got to try this on at Mermagicon, so I have not compared size charts between the mermaiden tails and elite tails.
Beautiful footage! 😍 how does the finfun elite compare to a Finfolk? Is one a better investment?
Based on my few test swims, I would say that without fins, they are virtually identical if used with a Linden or Shooter monofin. The vinyl is a little sloppier in the finfun than the Finfolk, and finfolk makes better fins, but pick a design that speaks to you. The elite monofin is a waste of money, and doesn’t do this tail justice.

Thank you. I find the linden very easy to de-tail from especially compared to the mahina. It is my favorite fin to be honest! Great power. Great training form. I have a whole review of it.
Hello!! I love your videos! But I did want to ask if you got the elite monofin from finfun as well? Also do you prefer the linden or the elite monofin (getting the new Calypso elite tail but not sure about the monofins 😫
The Linden monofin. I will make a review about this eventually but the Linden has the proper propulsion and makes this tail a dream!! The elite monofin is just too soft to properly pull the weight of the vinyl fluke. And the Linden mono friends like half the price

I always have the same question if the material is diffrent does it still fit the same way or will it be more snug and tight
The regular finfun tails are made of the swimsuits weight spandex, these are thicker and so are a bit more snug on land, but much stretchier in the water.
Can you do a size comparison between the finfun elite monofin and other monofins?

So easy! Honestly it is the best monofin for this tail, maybe a shooter for even more power. The finfun elite monofin is a waste of money. It doesn’t have the propulsion to move the vinyl well.
