Thank you for the detailed information. Currently I have finished upto the ECE evalution. I tried to apply for ADAT exam but when selecting the colleges/university programs, it doesn't show any of the canadian universities, only the US colleges were shown. Any idea why?
Hi Doctor, That is true when you are filling the application for ADAT it will not show the Canadian Universities, Only US Universities will show, however when you submit the application You can login to Dentpin again and select “add dental school recipients” and then the CANADIAN schools will appear, Hope this helps and if you need further assistance please email us at info@prepdoctors.ca

Do I need to have ECE report even though I have a WES Canada course by course evaluation?
as per the ADAT Candidate guide “candidates must have official dental school transcripts verified by ECE” Any other report not from ECE will not be accepted, please confirm with ada throught their email msc@ada.org

Thanks for the informative video! I am an internationally trained dentist. Do I have to give AFK too along with ADAT to get into a dental school?
some Univeristies only require AFK, and some only ADAT, both together is not required, please refer to each university requiriements

The ADAT Bridging course lectures are online and replays are available during the course period

Hi Dr., thank you for the details about ADAT. I see colleges in the US asking for NBDE and/or ADAT. Would you know what is the difference between the 2 and how to choose one over the other?
INBDE is the dental board exam. It’s a requirement for everything you have to take it if you wanna go to the US. But ADAT is a boost on your CV since it has a numeric value and not a pass or fail mark. Some universities do have it as a requirement to get accepted. Hope this helped!

Do you need to do the ECE report if you are graduating from a US dental school with your DDS?
No, Only for graduates of non accredited dental schools (BDS)

how do i make a pearson vue web account?? or can make one only after submitting my application ?? Also, what to fill for GPA since you are from india, and 4 point GPA scale is not followed here?? can you please give some guidance regarding the same?
hello Dr, You dont need to create a pearson vue account to book a test date, as for GPA after you get the ECE report they will provide a GPA on your report and you can use that one for applying

no requirement for housejob, only BDS degree

The ADAT (Advanced Dental Admission Test) is used to assess advanced dental knowledge for postgraduate dental program applications.
For US Dentists:

- Requirement: Not mandatory for INBDE (Integrated National Board Dental Examination) applicants.
- ECE Evaluation: Separate; ADAT is not required after ECE evaluation.

Do i have to be a permanent resident of canada to be eligible to give the ADAT exam ?
It is not a requirement to be a Permanent Resident or Citizen to take this exam, however if youre not then you need a visa to do it whether Canada or America
Can anyone tell me what to write in the colomn oc dental school or hygiene program ?
In the "OC Dental School or Hygiene Program" column, simply write the name of the dental school or dental hygiene program you attended. For example:
- "University of ABC School of Dentistry"
- "XYZ Community College Dental Hygiene Program"
If you are currently enrolled, you can indicate "Current Student" or provide your expected graduation date. This information is crucial for verifying your educational background.
Do I apply for ADAT only after receiving my ECE report?

what if I have WES evaluation, do I still need to do the ECE?
No, if you have a WES (World Education Services) evaluation, you do not need to do an ECE (Educational Credential Evaluators) evaluation specifically for the ADAT. The ADAT does not require a specific credential evaluation service, so your WES evaluation should suffice.
