Great sounding/honest demo that offers a ton of practical use cases. Love your work, keep it up :)
Love the various stacking combos!
My search finally ended with the Epoch Boost. This 1981 pedal might cut through a dense mix a little better though. Flavors !
IIRC the Epoch boost is the preamp from an EP-3, isn’t it?
@@andrewmorgan693 Yes. There’s several on the market. This one is an always on kind of pedal. It brings a tube amp to life without getting in the way. I run it first in the chain.
That pedal ticks all the right boxes! The amount of compression, clarity & openness just sit right in the mix ❤
(A lot of neigh sayers in the comment section are triggered by the fact that they didn’t get the DRV right 😂)
man, I had this demo going in the background while I was doing some work on the computer and had to come back to this tab to see the settings when you cranked up the LVL: it sounds AMAZING like that. Its sounds great in all settings, but for me, the cranked LVL is where it's at!
go big or go home!
That jam was _choice_. As always, I want to buy music from you, hearing your music is a pure joy. ✌️😌🎸
Very Cool Demo (in the Dark)! 😁 Tonally it reminds me of the 70s Colorsound Power Boost / Overdriver pedal. This would be fun to use when playing Time by Pink Floyd or Bang a Gong by T-Rex! 🤟🤟
Mm good rec on Time.
This pedal looks and sounds awesome. I’m wondering how far off it is from the DOD 250, which I own and enjoy very much. Thx !!
Still think the Keeley Katana is a better “boost to driver” nice design though
Very cool video. I’m a little perplexed at this pedal. Honestly it’s a big meh for me but whatever, what I find more interesting is how safe 1981 played it. Basically the same DRV but smaller. Literally the same looking pedal. Not sure that’s gonna pay off in the long run. The multi color run will come next, but how much can you keep doing that? The DRV market is already flooded with the variants.
Exactly like previous model. Nice touch new design though
How is it just like a rat? 😂
@@ZacharySaucier OPEN your Wars not just your wallet :)
i like the part where the cat ate out the dog
Not for me, sounds like running a distortion pedal directily into audio interface without any amp modelling
that’s a mic’d cabinet
@@DemosInTheDark yes, I meant the sound of the pedal is like that, not that you recorded it wrong
That is not a good sounding pedal. At least here.
cool.
This is wild
Seems this pedal would work great spiking the front end of a Marshall.
sure would!
