My father used to work in Tikak Colliery. I recall hearing OCP Tikak many times, no idea what that meant though. He used to live in Coal India Limited Quarters atop a hill in Ledo. Loved that place. We grew up in Guwahati but my father used to work there and hence lived there alone. He had retired in 2010. Last I visited the place was way back in 1999. Don’t know if I would recognise the place now. Unfortunately he passed away on 17th August, 2024. Lost my mother too in 2018. Your video reminded me of my childhood vacations where our complete family used to be together for a month. It also made me realise the sacrifices my parents had to endure to raise me and my sister, staying apart for so many years. Love you mom and dad. Miss you. Thank you for everything that you’ve done for us.

@@MOONWALKMEDIA Thanks for the reply. I am trying to find out about my maternal grandfather who used to live there for many years until his passing in 1977. He ran the coal mines. I saw him maybe for a month every year when I visited him with my mother during vacation from school in West Bengal. He was buried near his property which was near the road to Margerita (spelling?) but not much else. I have not been to that area since 1975 and now live overseas. Your video brought back many memories from my childhood - of that area and also Ledo, Tipong, Ladakh, Digboi, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia and the tea gardens in that area.
