It's genius. The tension when they say they haven't previously viewed the property or horror of horrors not seen the legal pack. Works every time. Only show that can make a 5% financial return sound exciting.
Whoever selects and edits the music on Homes Under The Hammer deserves a BATFA. I heard 'Brotherly Love' by the Soul Survivors when two brothers bought a property together - genius selection!!
I have never heard an agent say "Month" it is always "Per Calendar Month" - They love their jargon
He's absolutely right about the 'not being able to turn away' bit. There's been times when I've been about to leave to go shopping and I've heard those words 'Find out later in the show', you just know you can't leave it at that.
It's a psychological trick and a disgusting tactic. TV like this is low effort, low quality, and relies purely on mind tricks to keep on the air. It's a detriment to the industry as a whole and the people involved should be ashamed of themselves.

I can't believe it, a comedian I love talking about a musician I love.
Never thought I'd see Dave Gorman bring up Andrew W.K. but here we are!
this and homes under the hammer monopoly is genuinely my favourite segments
I like car porn where they show sports cars driving at speed and beautifully filmed in European tunnels... I think I have car porn tunnel syndrome
This comment deserves way more thumbs ups, but I can only give you one...
VANS OH YEAH 😂
Have you also noticed that when ever the estate agents review the renovation towards the end, the camera angle is always on a weird slant.
I always laugh whenever a key word/tune combo happens.
06:36 - probably one of the best moments of the series. Homes Under The Hammer meets Andrew WK.
I love this so much
I can't think of one without the other
I actually bought the Andrew WK song on CD. Oh, the shame...
It's the before and after shots that keeps people watching.
It's a bit unusual.....but I like iiiiittttttt.
Ma-ma-mamamama ma ma
Mamama ma-ma-ma-maaaaaaartin
Well that's an unusuuuual greeting.. A little bit difffferenttt...
Youknow, I have an awful lot of stupid hobbies and spend way too much time on CZcams.
But I have no Netflix, no car, no series I'm following and no tv-shows I need to see either.
I occassionally put a DVD on. And then I craft and paint. I don't think I'd have any time left if I followed tv-shows.
It must be strange for the live audience that Dave never looks at them. Always looks into the camera/autocue.
This is one of the best Gorman sketches ever
1:34 better off round the back where the exhaust pipe is
In one episode there was a property near a train station and then Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" started playing! 🤣
"You'll get £800 per calendar month for this property.... unless you have to get in the Can't Pay, We'll Take It Away bailiffs."
Bit of comedy porn.
Phwoar vans! 😂😂
About 8 years ago or thereabouts, a complete stranger knocked on my door and asked if I'd sell them my van. No "For Sale" sign or anything, just my van parked on my driveway.
Some folks REALLY seem to love vans. Or maybe I've just got a really tasty van.
Ah.
Yeah, OK, now I think about it...
It's not just Homes Under The Hammer that do this but my personal favourite is when the music ties into the content but they use an instrumental version of the song so it's not making the obvious link as described here, it's extra nerdy.
I thought they might have done that with bridgerton but in reality it seems they just took their favourite pop songs and did a violin cover.
Would this be called "Gorm-Porn"?
It's a rule: If it exists, there is porn of it.
Rule 34
@@nigelnash7516 I wonder what Rule 34 porn would be like...
@@nigelnash7516 it's like when you don't know what to watch on Netflix but for categories of porn which people use as porn.
🤣🤣🤣
Funny because it's true.
It's just a shame that HUTH now deliberately try too hard to push the abstract music.
What is abstract music? I thought music in general was abstract? 🤔
I have no issue with adverts at usual intervals. However, after watching over 2 minuets before this even started, it then hit me with 2 more at over 2 minuets long after the show had only run for 1.44. How is this accceptible? Ok, back to watching on my Amazon.
Oh, and i love this show enoug to endure adverts like the format used on regular TV but this is just stupid and ruins these shorter edits from the show. I'l no longer watch extracts via my phone.
Lets be real, Collins isnt a real dictionary. OED or GTFO.
first :-)
If there is no minge, it ain't porn. Trust me..
What would you call gay porn then?
Asking for a friend...
Homes under the hammer is so boring I switched off while you were questioning how that show keeps people watching
Dave Gorman criticising for people spinning out very little material. Next up Kim Kardashian's list of talentless celebrities.
He's a brilliant comedian :)
@@markyh88 His delivery is so dry I watched this 2 hours ago and still can't work out if the irony is deliberate.
But to be fair, he says he _loves_ Homes Under the Hammer, and _admires_ that about it.
First thumbs down.
OK then
