- A recent update to the PC mods Noodle Extensions, Chroma, and CustomJSONData has opened up what's possible in Beat Saber; mappers now have nearly complete control over every aspect of their maps.
The group "Total BS" is running a showcase event called Extra Sensory as an introduction to what can be accomplished with maps now. They will be releasing a more maps in the upcoming weeks, with today's map being the third map. Each map will use these mods in a unique way that hasn't been seen before.

the whole map was a build up for the last note, now we can have fully 360 levels
I was playing it and when the arrow pointed up I just looked up like an idiot and almost fell to the ground when the top note came down.

I love how some many rhythm game communities are actually inspired b NotITG and UKSRT, I didn't know how big its influence really was up until now. I hope that this gets more people interested in both NotITG and Beat Saber, and that more communities can come together like this!
this chart was what got me into watching UKSRT8 - UKSRTX and made me more interested in NotITG haha

Finally, the nonsense of mod charts in NotITG, now in my favorite VR rhythm game. I was waiting for these kinds of maps to show up

4:02 might be another one as the blocks almost follow the exact same patter as the notes do in UKSRTX (but it could just be a coincidence)
@@err0r529 While that could be a coincidence do to the limitations of making the song readily beatable, the bit before that certainly isn't, so it most likely isn't a coincidence. Nice catch there!
EDIT: Okay so I looked at the timeframes on both of the songs and noticed they're both a bit different, but I think my statement still does stand, as the bit before 4:02 here does mimic the gimmick of the pattern from UKSRTX.

The next beat saber event should be called the “minimalism event” and it should be levels where you give players the least amount of information possible for them to still complete the level

@Reaxt I’m gonna use this unexpected opportunity to ask you to check out the band “sungazer”, sorry I imagine you get a fuckton of mapping requests like constantly, but just check them out when you have time, I feel like some of the songs would fit pretty well in the extra sensory style, I also don’t know if you do maps on a whim or if you even take map requests at all or just commissions, but their music is hella interesting if you have the time

@@reaxt I would have to say “level one” is my favorite, as well as being one of the more simple ones musically, but if you want a good example of what they can do with weird musical elements, “drunk” has to be your song. They’re all really good though but those are the two that stand out to me specifically

yeah but mappers don't really have control over their controls, i'm sure most mappers dont care to open up visual studio code and spend a few days or weeks working on maps like this.
Alot of mappers already spend weeks on their maps. Some wall maps take months to get out. It all depends on who is determined to do it.

Us questers would probably have a way easier time with these since everything using noodle extensions basically shows up as a dark wall to our left and the notes play like a normal map. 😶

I played this with no extensions and the part where bombs turn into notes is impossible 😂 cus the bombs are in the notes
Siean Barasket Samad I was able to beat it all you have to do is aim to the side of the note, the hiboxes are bigger than the actual note
That Noob the bomb hitboxes were bigger and then there like another 7 blocks in a big blob of bombs which is impossible
the visuals I can handle, easy. but the music is vomit-inducing.
