Fun Fact: His actor Johnny Kastl broke his heels in a ski jumping accident during Season 4 of the show, but Bill kept the Doug character around and wrote the injury into the show cause he felt like that was a very Doug thing to do.......
Kelso: "Dr. Murphy, I'd have more sympathy if this were the first time you broke both feet working in the morgue." Murphy: "Sir, it's like those corpses are out to get me." Kelson: "If only."
@@WallChart Johnny Kastl the actor is a lawyer? I guess it's not that hard to believe, his role on Scrubs was probably the peak of his acting career. He's gotta pay the bills somehow.
I'm so happy that Doug found his calling in the morgue. I always liked him and I just felt so bad for him the first few seasons. I like how they made him less sad and pathetic while also not taking away from his goofy/quirky/screw-up charm.
Morgan Stiefvater Yep, great message in it, too! A penguin that's always been told what a terrible runner it is, just hasn't realized it needs to move to the coast and start swimming! Terrible retelling of a great fable, I know, but you get my point, right! If you feel like a screwed individual, you probably just haven't found your ideal environment to exist in yet!
But he was excellent at autopsies because he was intimately familiar with the numerous ways someone could die. Because he was usually the one who killed them.
With the disturbing amount of patients he had killed due to blunders, any hospital would've fired him ages ago. The show would've become less realistic if he continued treating patients as a regular doctor and killing them repeatedly without consequences.
You missed the one where Dr. Kelso asks Doug what is wrong with his patient, Doug gives a long, complicated answer, and Kelso says, "Wrong! He's dead!"
i also like the one where doug says "sir, if i could have a chance to explain myself" and kelso answers with "why don´t i di that for you? you´re a terrible doctor"
The funniest thing about this character, which I only recently found out about, is that his name is Murphy, and just about everything bad that could happen to someone, happens to him, aka Murphy's Law.
Maybe - hear me out - maaaaybe.... its a prop :D BTW, good notice - I wondered how JD did not pass out from his head being bonked several times with a metal fire extinguisher
Doug is awesome. I was hoping to see the bit where JD is running away from Turk and hides under a counter and Doug is just sitting there looking at people's legs when they pass by. When asked "Doug, why are you here?" he responds "After _ years of putting on toe tags I've sorta developed a foot fetish. I get tired at looking a dead ones, you know?"... Hahahahaha
One of the best ones is where hes dozed off in a doctors lounge and Dr. Cox comes in and whistles to gather attention and Doug wakes up going "I dont wanna be a doctor"
"Elliot, I know everyone thinks I'm this huge screw-up, but I want you to know, I'm gonna turn it around!" *Elliot in a hazmat suit* "DOUG THIS IS A RESTRICTED AREA!!!" Doug's one of my favorites on this show.
I like the character but knowing he has killed so many patients, even one would have been bad, because of his negligent care steming from his inadequate knowledge of medicine makes him too dark for a show like scrubs. Altough he provides a grim reality check that your patient outcome really does depend on not just which doctor you get, but wether you are misfortunate enough to get an intern who doesnt know what they are doing yet needs to learn and practise on you.
If an intern who is still learning is treating you, you can be sure that an attending/ senior resident is overseeing them, making sure nothing goes wrong.
Always felt kind of bad for Doug. He wasn’t really a bad guy, just a bad doctor. It’s too bad he wasn’t cut out for medicine. Maybe he’d have done better as a state trooper or Customs and Border Protection officer. It was said that he stayed in good physical condition.
Look up "Welcome to Sacred Heart" and watch the whole thing. My Musical is the ONLY episode where characters, besides Ted and his band, Laverne's Church Choir, and JD's fantasies, sing.
Fun Fact: His actor Johnny Kastl broke his heels in a ski jumping accident during Season 4 of the show, but Bill kept the Doug character around and wrote the injury into the show cause he felt like that was a very Doug thing to do.......
Awe wow that’s super dope
Kelso: "Dr. Murphy, I'd have more sympathy if this were the first time you broke both feet working in the morgue."
Murphy: "Sir, it's like those corpses are out to get me." Kelson: "If only."

Doug wasn't great in the morgue either :D Always losing things in bodies, losing bodies, etc.
But he was excellent at autopsies because he was intimately familiar with the numerous ways someone could die. Because he was usually the one who killed them.

@@ranjit2289 he was better than Quincy.
My left ear enjoyed the audio very much :D
Same
Wearing only my right ear bud, I was confused
"You keep wheeling them in and I'll keep wheeling them out" is one the funniest lines in the show.
Awesome appropriateness, Doug.
My favorite isn't in here.
Cox: "Mr Murphy."
Doug: "Dr. Murphy?"
Cox: "eeeeehhhhhh...."

The polo he constantly wears under his scrubs is just one of the many details that make this show amazing.
"Ummm, I'm not sure if i'm supposed to give this to someone or I took it from someone... but i got a bag of blood
I actually burst out laughting at that line
Where's Kelso's comment on Doug telling a patient: "Stop bleeding! Stop bleeding! Oh God, please stop bleeding!"? That's a classic!
The funniest thing about this character, which I only recently found out about, is that his name is Murphy, and just about everything bad that could happen to someone, happens to him, aka Murphy's Law.
Fun fact: he now practices law, as a lawyer in Chicago.
@@deeyaThe actor, or the character?
@@AzureKyle the actor, Johnny Kastl
@@deeya Oh nice
Doug, The Angel of Death. Man's killed more people that cancer. Boy, that fire extinguisher at the beginning sure is squishy---0:09.
Doug has strong hands. You are jellos.
Bob Kelso didnt want to spend a lot
Maybe - hear me out - maaaaybe....
its a prop :D
BTW, good notice - I wondered how JD did not pass out from his head being bonked several times with a metal fire extinguisher
"big dead children..."
Scrubs have the best minor characters
I love the bit afterwards where the half-bald guy touches the part of his head that's unshaven and thinks it's fine XD
one of the reasons why scrubs is great: the hilarious side kicks :D
My left ear liked it.

One of the best ones is where hes dozed off in a doctors lounge and Dr. Cox comes in and whistles to gather attention and Doug wakes up going "I dont wanna be a doctor"
i love doug, he's gotta be one of my favorites
Thank you for this video compilation!! Doug is the best in the Scrubs.xD
XD i love doug. He's adorable. Clumsiness makes him seem like a little kid.
The scary thing: He is how I imagine myself to be like once I start my training... ._.
NoireShot so how’d you turn out?
Yeah how ?
Were still waiting on an update
@@JackBlackJr123 same
I'd also love to get an update
The way he just leaves the barrow with the corpse in the entrance ... So good! 🤣
scrubs was one of those rare shows where every character (eve the guest stars) were genuinely funny.
i like the first part, poor doug having a panic attack.
"...Then WHY WERE YOU HITTING ME???" XD
"Elliot, I know everyone thinks I'm this huge screw-up, but I want you to know, I'm gonna turn it around!"
*Elliot in a hazmat suit* "DOUG THIS IS A RESTRICTED AREA!!!"
Doug's one of my favorites on this show.
I love those random clips from My Musical.
Sometimes Doug is the mentor we always wanted
nicely done!
hahaha the end is brilliant!!
2:06 is one of my favorite moments lmao
That, I cannot unsee.
you are missing a funny clip where Doug repeats his residency and he's happy about it!
Damn, a 15-year-old comment. So, what are you up to nowadays?
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like a nerdy Jim Caviezel?
0:21 the fire extinguisher is made of Foam rubber :D
The way Doug handles dead guys in body bags isn’t unethical at all. 😂😂😂
I love Doug. LOL!
not enough WE NEED MORE DOUG STAT!
nervous guy
lol doug was great
my left ear enjoyed this.
You really didn't add "Her phosphate level, her phosphate level, her phosphate level."
1:40 Me as a doctor hahaha xD
"My Cold Shower" Season 6 Episode 19. Turk is talking to J.D. about Melody, Elliot's friend/sorority sister.
Yes.
Yes, he did.
Nice save chief 😂
I miss the one when he says. JD, you bring them in and I take them out. lol.
0:04 I swear doug is killing people lol
Even the janitor is mystified by Doug.
Keep in mind, this has "TV logic" going for it. About half the stuff the Janitor did to JD would get him fired and arrested.
If an intern who is still learning is treating you, you can be sure that an attending/ senior resident is overseeing them, making sure nothing goes wrong.
This series had the perfect cast. Just forget the plus one more season.
Doug RULESSSS!!!!!
Doug: Hey JD, you keep rolling them in, I keep rolling them out!
JD: Awesome appropriateness doug!
lol my favorite part
when doug was searching for his calling in the hospital
Doug is the man
"Doctors, Nurses, Patient's, Daed Guys!!!! Welcome to Sacred Heart"
Lol the first scene, I love JD's high pitched voice =')
when he's holding the fire extinguisher at the beginning you can see that its squishing and that its made out of foam.
1:40 amazing.
My favorite is when he calls his dad .
Lol at Doug shaving off the guy's afro!!!
Doug, look away.
I...can’t...
i love doug hes mad funny he reminnds me of my self in the future!!! is that bad????
im just like doug
Big, dead children.
"Aw come on, this guy sucks!" So funny
"Yer done"
then you shall be called doug for ever.
Well Elliot does sing when she rubs it in JDs face
"I told you so, I told you so..."
Poor Doug
One of the funniest beside Todd
You noticed how Doug, looks like Jude Law
Doug knows how to defend himself!
you forgot the part were Doug had a corpse fall on him in the morgue lol
Hey, nervous guy!
nice safe xD
Dr Sean Conley's early career.
Hehe poor doug
Todd and Doug are my fav characters. I wish Their Story had Todd, Ted and Doug (Doug instead of Jordan)
I can't find on youtube the bit where the Janitor is cleaning a mark off the wall and tests the solution on Doug's ear...
i cant belive ive been missing this is it me or is doug getting really good looking
*push forwards caught...basckwards caught.... walk away slowly...* HAHAH doug is so awesome.
It's from season six, I don't know the exact episode number off the top of my head, but it's called "My Musical"
Always felt kind of bad for Doug. He wasn’t really a bad guy, just a bad doctor. It’s too bad he wasn’t cut out for medicine. Maybe he’d have done better as a state trooper or Customs and Border Protection officer. It was said that he stayed in good physical condition.
Can't belive they were going to get rid him!
Hopes hes in the next his/their story
0:20 Someone watched Pet Semetary
Look up "Welcome to Sacred Heart" and watch the whole thing. My Musical is the ONLY episode where characters, besides Ted and his band, Laverne's Church Choir, and JD's fantasies, sing.
I like how he changed his hair after going to the morgue
Doug why are you hitting me!?
because I thought you were a dead guy coming back to life.lmfao
He’s the Joey version of Scrubs.
409 - My Malpractical Decision.
lol:
"Can you press lobby please?"
how can u lose a dead body?!?!?
people might think it's garbage!!
Eliot is so gorgeous
Right?? She's amazing as the horse surgeon Beth Smith in Rick and Morty.
Doug: "I did her autopsy"
Guy: "Im her uncle"
Doug: "Your niece had beautiful guts??"
LMAO!!!!
That thumbnail looks like a bad CGI Arnold from Terminator 1.
What, are you guys suprised I don't get any?
LMFAO!
No it's My Musical.
