G'day Reedy.. came across your channel the other day and have been binge watching since. 👍 Big whiting reminds me of going out on a charter when I was a kid in the 60s. 'Bill from Rhyll' was the charter, fishing Westernport for snapper. In amongst getting big snapper, we got a couple of monster whiting (on the snapper rigs). Geez they pulled hard!

Hey Reedy, Fished off Phillip Island in 15m last weekend for some pretty big fish, seem to find the whiting fight a lot harder in the deeper water which is always good fun.

lol before they updated those ramps years ago,at low tide there was no water at the bottom it was a concrete stop and you needed a 4 wheel drive to pull it up.and the shop wasnt there either.

Have the same reel and it makes the same grinding sound, Im about to try and replacing the bearing in the line roller as i heard they can be a bit ordinary on these reels

Hey Reed, can I ask, new to boating - is there a reason your engine is full circle turned when you fish.
I don't know which part of the video your talking about .. it could be because of wind ,it could also be because cooper was playing with it

Admire you as a fisherman mate and always support you by watching, however to not bother brain killing your Whiting is just wrong, for you and the fish.

Listen to the expert scientists from the Fisheries and they can teach you a thing or 2 about this.
