Hello and thanks for asking. The product brochure indicates that the following may be used: "powdered milk, pasteurized milk of any fat content, long-life UHT sterilized milk, and soy milk which contains either fructose, honey or malt." We have had success with raw milk as well as lactose-free milk. I hope that helps. 👍🏽katie
