PTD concerts were INSANE. They did three hour concerts with a setlist that required all seven of them for every song with minimal breaks between sets. For LA the did two shows in a row, had three days off and did two mor shows. For Las Vegas they did two days on five days off two days on and that was after killing it at the Grammy’s and Jin arm being in a cast. You should definitely check out their Grammy performance of Butter. It’s already iconic. One is the best Grammy performances ever done.

Jin was the only member to use a head mic instead of a handheld one because, if you watch carefully, he handles the props. When Jimin does that thing with the hoodie, he isn't holding his mic because he handed it to Jin a minute earlier. When V tosses him the bandanna, he has to catch it and then get rid of it.

There are songs where they focused on vocals and rap. Some songs are chill, freestyle and some are choreographed like this one. Suga has a show called Suchwita where he interviews other BTS members, other singers, actors, etc. while drinking & eating. Highly recommend! Jin was the latest guest a week ago, recorded in Dec 2022 a few days before he enlisted. He said they insisted on singing live from the very beginning even though it was hard and got to a point where they have no trouble keeping their voices stable even with intense dancing. They said they used to practice while wearing oxygen deprivation masks that athletes wear to build stamina. Jin said now when he hangs out with friends on vacation he can hold his breath 2x longer than they can underwater in the pool. They also give 110% while performing. You can see in scenes from their tour documentary movies where when they go back stage after performing, they collapse and use oxygen cans to breathe.

I didn’t fact check this, other army can correct me if I’m wrong. But I heard before their current “break”, they’ve only had a total of 1 month break since they started. In a recent show with Jin and Suga, Jin said in 2017/2018 they almost disbanded because they only got 1.5 days off every 3 month. They started gaining popularity globally and had this sudden pressure, and all the work and practice they had to do really took a toll on them mentally and physically and they were thinking if all of this was worth it. They got together and managed to pull through and here they are today still going strong as ever. They also said on the show that they can always trust the other members to come to practice early and give it their all voluntarily. They’ve never had to ask a member to do more or pull their own weight. Very admirable. Even on tour they’re writing and producing music when they’re not practicing or performing, so there’s really no real break. Even now they’re supposed to be on a break as they enlist in military, but they keep releasing so much music and content that I can’t even keep up. Their work ethic is crazy!
They have a song Outro: Tear that talks about the time they almost disbanded. Check out the live version with the green lasers at the start. The rap line wrote the song and when it was played for the other members, they all broke down together

I think you remembered some of those a little wrong😅(not completely only little). They said what you are talking about but I think they said something along 1.5 day every MONTH for 3 months not 1.5 day every 3 months (it's still not enough since it's not even two full sundays when people should rest or do something else). And even though they did it voluntarily all these 10-11 years they were particularly talking about Busan concert and learning RUN BTS that they did OVERLY excited and even came earlier than usual - as ARMY we have to be real to each other, to have every single member to be on time (when it's not something very important like concert or award shows) is very rare especially when even members said in interviews that some certain members are late more than often😂.

As the other person said u got the times wrong. they got 1.5 days off every month for 3 months back in 2018 that's why that period was so hard on them. Even though the guys as well as bang pd/their crew/company knew it was necessary for their growth at the time it still was hard on them.
they had to sit down, talk about it, talk as a team how they r gonna proceed if they r gonna give bts another try and now I would say they r now glad they did and have learned from that darker time and r thankful to have chosen each other once again and rely on each other. they r a family for life no matter what

That's why JK comes in sounding winded because he'd just danced his @ss off. In the industry he's known for having incredibly stable vocals during choreo.

Fun Fact: Yes, they run on tread mills but in a Suchwita interview (Suga's Tv Show) EP.12 SUGA with Jin #2023BTSFESTA; Jin says, that they jog before they go on stage too. He said, it opens ups air waves. He also said, he went swimming with some other idols and none could come close to holding their breath as long as he did.

Their concerts usually last for 2-3 hours with a few minutes breaks in between but yes, they have choreography for about 90% of their songs. So what they do is they slip in some slower songs into each set they do and they also do "ments" which in kpop concert is the time where the idols talk to their fans. But a lot of their choreography are hard so that there's always an emergency medical crew with them and they also have portable oxygen tanks they sometimes use during breaks for costume changes.

Thank you for the great BTS reaction! Welcome to BTS, so glad you are listening and learning about them!
The hand gesture you see at the end of some songs is a 7, and they all have a tattoo of a small seven. The guys have been on the music scene for 10 years, congratulations BTS and Army💜! I think you all would enjoy the 2021 FESTA ROOM LIVE, a good sample of some of their hits, but just enough if you want to react to songs individually later.
Some of my favorite songs are: Mic Drop, Dope, Fire, Mikrokosmos (on Jimmy Fallon), On, Airplane 2, Home, Idol and Stay Gold(sung in Japanese). AND please react to Taylor Mari's guide to the seven members-you will appreciate their music so much more!

71 year old BTS Army here. They had just opened with Mic Drop and then went right in to this song so were sweaty already.
Sometimes they use hands free mics, but am not sure why they didn't do it here.
I just read where they also use heavy face masks on treadmills while singing. 😳
This whole concert is on Disney+ in it's entirety - "Yet to Come in Busan".
They haven't had that many World Tours. Their last one was cancelled due to Covid. That was 2020. They usually allow 3-6 days between cities, depending on the proximity to each other.

During their older concerts, they did group songs, rap line songs, vocal line songs, and then solo songs. They don't have opening acts or anything. Their concerts is an epic experience but getting ticket is like the hunger games. When the tickets go on sale they usually sale out in less then a hour. When they did wembley stadium for two nights, both nights sold out in 90 minutes. Each night held 90,000 people.

Originally they did not intend to do choreography for this song which was one of three originals on their Proof anthology set. It was the fans who wanted to see a performance. When their team showed them some of the choreo they just had to do it and didn't have much time to rehearse before the Busan concert. That is how dedicated they are to the ARMY and how hard they work to make it look good. The dance practices are filmed intentionally for online content because the camera work for an online concert is going to zoom in on individuals and you won't see everything.

There were probably 3 short 5 minute video/movie breaks while he changed and he did chat to us a couple of times. They always put their all into their performances, but they definitely wanted to leave everything out there for the Busan concert. BTS concerts last 3 HOURS! They have no opener, so the whole show is juste them dancing and singing non-stop. The only break they have is when they have a VCR that introduces the next set of songs, and there usually are 3 VCRs per concerts, each one lasting around 2 minutes max. They use these small breaks to change outfits and take some deep breaths out of an oxygen bottle that they pass around.

I was at the Busan concert. It went for 1 and 1/2 hrs and was shorter than their usual concerts which are usually at least 2 and 1/2 hrs. There was some dances with the songs, some where they moved independently around the stage and some where they stood in a row and sang. In the old days they had lots of dances on their program but that resulted in serious collapses and oxygen used behind stage. There are a few videos on that. Plus they are older now. They used to only have a couple of days between cities on tour but their Speak Yourself tour was planned with only Friday and weekend appearances and using private jets instead of first class on a commercial flight. Too many fans intruded on commercial flights. The Map of the Soul tour which was cancelled due to covid also had the same schedule. A lot of their stage clothes are designed by well known designers. For example their Mic Drop outfits for the Speak Yourself were designed by Dior. They are used to wearing what looks like heavy clothes while dancing. They do that even in rehearsals. And they wore masks a lot while rehearsing back in the day to expand their lung capacity.

Thanks for your reaction, chaps. They are indeed amazing live. This concert was unusual because the breaks were very short. Usually a concert will include some solo or sub-unit sections when the others can rest, but for this show all the songs were full BTS numbers, because they knew they would not be able to perform together again until 2025.
OK guys - this was actually at the start of their Busan concert: they opened with Mic Drop which is pretty intense, and went straight into this. Nothing unusual about this much sweat on BTS to be honest - all over the place on YT and Bangtan TV. Yes, they train on treadmills while singing to build their lungs and vocal stability - and of course they've been doing this for over ten years. I have been saying for years that Yoongi breathes through his ears, so, yeah..
Their tours do indeed have only a couple of days between concerts (often busy with promotion and talk shows), and often two concerts one day after another - and yes, as RM says - a lot of sleeping in the cloud. But the fact of BTS life is that their normal schedule is packed with writing, producing, practice, learning new choreo, photoshoots, fan meets, Vlives, shooting Run BTS and other programmes, shooting ads, attending awards shows and fashion shows - they are not normal people, and I suspect can function well on 4 hours sleep a night. Mind you, if they can sleep for longer ... they do!
