- this 9,000 Square foot home was custom built between 1985 and 1992 on a 1 acre lot in a prestigious neighbourhood outside of toronto.
the home featured 8 bedrooms, 10 bathrooms and a large 4 car garage. there was marble flooring throughout, along with many large, expensive chandeliers.
only just over 2 weeks after my visit, the home was completely demolished. there are plans to rebuild a large modern home in its place, though i imagine it won’t have half the class and style that this place did. - Zábava

I can just imagine how incredible the foyer looked with a giant Christmas tree. I sure hope they salvage properly. There is so much that can be reused.
I'd bet almost all of it ended up in a landfill. It would cost more to remove things and store them than they would be worth at that point. It's an incredible waste.
This house was just bonkers amazing! If you had this in 1985, you'd freaking MADE IT! WOW!

All I have to say is WOWWIE!!! What an amazing explore! I usually ❤ the time capsules, but this house did not disappoint! There are so many cool details! I know you (and everyone else) have said it before, but it just seems so wasteful to flatten this place when it cld most certainly be salvaged! But hey! What do I know?! I am only a well educated person who wld like to still HAVE a planet in 50 years😢😢!! Thank you for sharing this massive place!!

The new buyers likely want a Home customer built to their own tastes and needs. Just like the initial owner of the land did. They might not need that many bedrooms or bathrooms.

Hi Ethan, do people complain if your video’s are on the longer side? If so, too bad! What do they expect if it’s a mansion like this or the castle one? Just keep up the great job you always do! You should have had a contest on how many closets. I definitely lost count. Crazy. I never saw a sauna in the master before, or a chandelier in the laundry room. Even the bar was huge. Full bath in every bedroom. Heck, just rent out the rooms to make $. 🤷🏻♀️😬. Take care Ethan. Stay safe. Great find!!
That’s cool that every bedroom have they own bathroom I never seen that before and the basement is huge this mansion can fit like maybe about a less 6 family or more what a beautiful home this is incredible wow they should’ve tear down this beautiful home I don’t get it somebody could of lived in this house it sad too here that you told us that the house was tear down I can’t believe it why works have to knock houses down especially when there nothing wrong with it that’s crazy

Enjoyed it immensely Ethan. Did you race through it? Yes. But still immensely enjoyable. I grieve for the loss of that grand mansion. Tearing it down was the height of gluttony and waste.
I must say I felt very privileged and wealthy just being in it. 😮
Ethan I don’t understand why all these corporations for the homes that you’ve been going to have been tearing these homes down without at least salvaging some of the things that are in them. It’s just a shame. 😟. I hope they do salvage some of this home, but at the same time I don’t understand why they’re tearing these homes down like that, maybe if you can check into that on the reasoning behind all the destruction of these beautiful homes I’d appreciate it but other than that this is a beautiful mansion thank you for sharing, you take care and be safe.❤🤠
This house is just wow. The view from the basement up the stairs is breathtakingly beautiful. A true dream house that it's a real shame was demolished. I always find it sad that nobody buys these houses as they are and appreciates these beauties. Thank you for always finding such fantastic houses, exploring them and sharing them with us. What a stunning elegant house!! Definitely a Grand foyer and a grand staircase. You’ve done an excellent job documenting this. The area surrounded by the balcony, hallway reminds me a bit of the hall in the”Sound of Music”. I imagine amazing formal celebrations taking place. All of the shiny hard wood and marble floors were destroyed along with the built ins in the front study and the family room near the kitchen. I lost count of number of bathrooms let alone the closets. I can’t imagine the amount of furniture needed to fill it let alone the expense. This whole house just amazed me. Even the basement with the gorgeous shiny parquet floors with inlaid wood. The bar quite nice as well. I can’t imagine why someone would rather tear this down to live in something that probably won’t be built as well as this was. It actually makes me ill that this was destroyed. Maybe the powers that be should stop granting building permits to the greedy developers. I live in a place where mid century split levels exist among many refurbished Victorian homes and some huge stone mansions that are more than a century old and lovingly maintained and refurbished. I can’t imagine any homes being demolished here. Thank you Mr explorer extraordinaire for documenting this incredible home so well. And thank you for not including pictures of the sad wreckage. Absolutely STELLAR!! This is Premium 80's Opulence!! The marble floors are stunning., and the Master Wing and Bath Suite is stupendous!🤩 This one is totally too WOW for words really! So much quality, it's absolute insanity to demolish it.✌️

Ethan I want this house !! I don’t care if it was built in the 80’s it’s still nice and not outdated. I’ll never even be able to afford a place like this Ever. This was a super exciting video I was yelling at the screen in disbelief. So sad though to hear it’s now gone all that marble and beautiful personal touches plus you are right it was in immaculate shape and I can’t believe it took that many years. to build the house and it takes like a day to tear it down. It was one of the BIGGEST houses I've seen; that saying it was also the UGGLES as well. I think there should be regulations on the demo of houses; to save and repurpose the materials. What a waste!!!!!

Beaautiful house solid structures, polished wooden floor is amazing, lovely kitchen perfectly clean , closets galore. That is a green marble top round the bar all the cupboard have solid wood doors. You could have an apartment in that basement with more rooms than you would need, such a beautiful house we could only dream of. Thanks Ethan for showing it to us before it was gone.

This is like one of the nicest places that I've seen explored. I cannot even believe they're tearing that down. It's so beautiful! Everything's so clean in the inside of that place and nothing's been vandalized a little bit of water damage why are they not fixing that and selling it? It's really not even that old.
