- Hey guys I wanted to get on here after the surgery to let you guys see what has changed. I have furnished my apartment some but we still have some work to do. I hope this encourages some someone, I started with 1 queen size air mattress and a tv with my son and we are growing everyday by God's grace.

I'm a single mom with two little ones, a 2-year-old and an 11-month-old, and I recently got accepted into low-income housing too. I know how tough it can be- I got hurt and lost everything, was homeless in a hotel for over two months, and then my grandparents took me in. They're giving me their reclining couch from Badcock, which is a blessing. I'm starting from scratch with pots, pans, furniture, and everything else, but your story has given me so much hope. Thank you for sharing your journey. When it's my turn to move, I plan to document it all as well. Best of luck on your new beginning! 💕

We should not dwell on someone else's situation of living in low income apartments. We should stick to our scenario.
If we are driven, we should continue to look ahead. If we have a goal, we should continue the race. If we plan on staying a short time on low income, follow our dream.
Yes, you are correct. We should not worry or judge other people's situations.
Just because some people stay longer, or stay forever, we still should not judge them.
We do not know how they got there, and the reason behind it.
Lastly, we don't have to explain, why we are on low income, and why we are not like some others on low income.
If we feel guilty about taking up someone else's space, remember the list is long. We should enjoy your time because when we finish what we are planning, we can get what we like. But remember, sometimes we have to return because of our situation. It will not continue to mean, we are lazy, (hoodish) Whatever that is.
The true definition of "ghetto" , does not mean where bad people live. Ghetto has to do with the same culture of people living in an area. Living in diverse neighbourhoods is where I have lived all my life. But if I had to live with the same culture as myself, I wouldn't care.
I don't care if I live in the ghetto. As long as it is clean with no violence or crime. But I know, I will have to wait after Armageddon to achieve that goal.

I live in a income base apartment and I get child support they count mines as an income, but I don’t pay no rent and I get a utility check but it doesn’t cover the light bill my utility check is 8.00

For Storage and to free up space around Your Bathroom Sink. You can place Shelves on Your Walls. You can find some Nice and inexpensive Shelves at the Goodwill. You can also attach a Paper Towel Dispenser from Your Wall.

If you take your glasses to an optician they may have extra arms and possibly make one up and put it on for you.( for free)🙋🏽♀️🙏🏼🥰

Also if you will put your candles in the freezer for a few hours they will last a lot longer. The molecules in the wax shrink and they burn much slower. It’s a little tip to help save you money. I love candles.

You've done a great job. As far as the curtain rod that is to big pull the curtain out a little more and that will help until you can change it. Like the idea of using the sign as a key holder but you can put it in your dining area as well I think these spots would look better.

If Your Glasses were damaged during Your Hospitalization, they are responsible for replacement. Get into touch with the Hospital’s Patient Advocate. Please stay on them, because since they are very busy, they are hoping that You will go away.
I needed a new pair anyways, I'm in the process of getting some new ones. Those glasses were 2 years younger than my son 😂 it's super embarrassing having tape on them though while I wait
